Dealing with Monsters in Hyrule Field: Captain Hoz and the Monster Control Crew

While Link battles the post-calamity monsters in Hyrule, he is not alone in his efforts. The Monster Control Crew, comprising of regular folk from across the land, has also joined the mission of ridding Hyrule of the monsters left behind by Ganon. Led by Captain Hoz, the crew is determined to bring peace to Hyrule Field. Completing their mission not only brings security to the people but also rewards the player with valuable items.

Where Is Captain Hoz and the Monster Control Crew in Hyrule Field?

can be a challenging task for players in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as they navigate through different areas with different captains and squads. However, the first location that most players encounter is Hyrule Field, where they must locate Captain Hoz and help his crew fight off a horde of monsters on their way to Lookout Landing.

Link can receive valuable assistance from the Monster Control Crew and Survey Team in the basement emergency shelter at Lookout Landing. They can guide him towards his fellow fighters located in different areas. The initial group of Monster Control Crew members can be found in the Hyrule Garrison Ruins, situated just south of Lookout Landing in the Hyrule Field.

Upon reaching the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower, head straight towards the south until you come across a cluster of ruins located at coordinates (-0610, 0539, 0056). As soon as you land nearby, a team of skilled monster slayers will appear and move towards a group of Bokoblins present in the ruins. Players have the option to either converse with Captain Hoz to learn more about the mission or directly participate in the ensuing battle.

Bring Peace to Hyrule Field Walkthrough

Players have the option to watch the Monster Control Crew battle their enemies from the sidelines or join in to expedite the process in Bring Peace to Hyrule Field. This quest offers a less daunting challenge, but as players progress to other areas in Hyrule, the difficulty level increases significantly.

In the early stages of the game, the Monster Forces will mainly consist of regular Bokoblins and potentially a few Moblins. To turn the tide in your favor, try fusing a Muddle Bud to an arrow and shooting it at a group of enemies to instigate infighting. In situations where enemies lack a shield, arrows can be an effective tactic, but weapons with an attack rating of 15 or higher should dispatch them quickly in close combat.

If you are struggling to avoid enemy attacks, consider equipping a sturdy shield and a one-handed weapon or deploying a Zonai machine to fight on your behalf. Offensive devices like flame emitters, lasers, or cannons can be especially helpful, but be mindful of their aim to prevent friendly fire on Link and his allies.
