Star Wars Outlaws, the highly-anticipated open-world Star Wars game from Ubisoft, takes players to familiar locations such as Mos Eisley and Jabba's palace. With the inclusion of a Reputation system, players can make choices that will earn them rewards and discounts. The trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, released in June 2023, showcases the impressive exploration, scale, and ship combat that Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft have put into creating something truly extraordinary.

In contrast to the more traditional Star Wars stories found in Fallen Order and Survivor, Star Wars Outlaws immerses players in the exciting role of Kay Vess, a cunning smuggler, skilled bounty hunter, and overall miscreant navigating the treacherous galactic underworld. Joining her on this thrilling adventure is ND-5, a former Separatist Battle Droid, and her alien companion Nix, who possesses the ability to engage enemies, activate inaccessible buttons, create distractions, and scavenge fallen adversaries' weapons.

While Outlaws promises to transport Kay and her crew to new and unexplored Star Wars planets, it was inevitable for Ubisoft to include one familiar location: the infamous Mos Eisley, a den of scum and villainy situated on the desert planet of Tatooine. During San Diego Comic-Con, developers revealed that Tatooine would be featured in Star Wars Outlaws, allowing players to directly interact with (and potentially betray) Jabba the Hutt, the notorious crime lord of Mos Eisley.

Ubisoft places significant importance on the concept of visual tourism in their Assassin's Creed games. In Star Wars Outlaws, director Julian Gerighty promises to provide players with a definitive answer on the distance between the moisture farms and Mos Eisley's renowned watering hole. The game will prominently feature Jabba's palace, allowing players to witness Han Solo's carbonite encasement, as the story unfolds between Episode 5 and Episode 6.

It's worth mentioning that Star Wars Outlaws will introduce a Reputation system, offering players discounted prices, exclusive quests, and access to new areas if they make wise choices. Given the influential presence of the Hutt Cartels in the Outer Rim during the era of the Galactic Empire, it is fitting for them to be a major faction for players to engage with. While gameplay footage is currently unavailable, fans are eagerly anticipating a more comprehensive glimpse in the near future.
