The inclusion of Stormblood in the free trial enables players to level up their jobs to 70, gain access to new classes, and advance in the game's storyline. Final Fantasy 14 is extending its free trial to encompass all content up until the Stormblood expansion, providing players with the opportunity to experience the equivalent of three substantial JRPGs without the need to buy the game.
The current free trial of Final Fantasy 14 offers the complete A Realm Reborn base game and the highly acclaimed Heavensward expansion, with no play time restrictions. Players can now enjoy hundreds of hours of gameplay without spending any money.
But there's even more good news. At the first Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival in Las Vegas, director and producer Naoki Yoshida revealed that the Stormblood update will also be included in the free trial. This means players can now level up their jobs to 70, unlock the Red Mage and Samurai classes, and progress through the story leading up to Shadowbringers, all for free.
A Realm Reborn and the critically acclaimed Heavensward expansion alone offer countless hours of gameplay, providing a complete RPG experience. Even before the addition of Stormblood, Final Fantasy 14 already had one of the most comprehensive free trials for a subscription-based MMO. With the inclusion of Stormblood, players who give it a try will have ample time to become engrossed before needing to subscribe to the game.
This expansion of the Final Fantasy 14 trial will coincide with the release of Dawntrail next summer. The free trial will maintain all existing restrictions – players will be limited to a maximum of 300,000 gil, unable to use the shout or whisper chat options, and restricted from accessing features such as the auction house, mailbox, and free companies. However, aside from these measures in place to combat botting and RMT (real-money trading) in Final Fantasy 14, players are free to enjoy the trial at their own pace.
Dawntrail is the upcoming expansion for Final Fantasy 14, offering players a thrilling adventure across the seas to Tural, a land referred to as the New World by many Eorzeans.
