Initially, participants can engage in the adrenaline-fueled Kalimdor Cup races, which serve as a stepping stone towards unlocking the unparalleled experience of Dragonriding on the legendary Dragon Isles. This remarkable event promises endless amusement until the highly anticipated new content update arrives. Moreover, the captivating allure of Dragonriding will soon spread its wings and encompass the entire game, captivating players across all realms.

The duration of the Kalimdor Cup Dragonriding event in World of Warcraft has been extended by an additional week. Players now have the opportunity to fly the racecourses and earn rewards until the release of Patch 10.1.7.

Starting on August 15, the Kalimdor Cup is a time-limited event where players can participate in 16 Dragonriding races in various difficulties and variations across the classic World of Warcraft continent. By completing these races, players can unlock achievements, titles, and Riders of Azeroth badges. These badges can then be exchanged for customizations for Dragonriding Drakes, a transmog ensemble, and reputation with the Valdrakken Accord.

The original end date for the Kalimdor Cup was August 28. However, World of Warcraft decided to extend the event until September 4, which is the day before the release of Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7, Fury Incarnate. This extension allows players to earn event rewards for an additional week and provides a fun activity to engage in until the new content update is available.

Players have the option to participate in the Kalimdor Cup races before unlocking Dragonriding on the Dragon Isles. Previously, the event NPCs were only found in Valdrakken, but World of Warcraft has now added new NPCs in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Once players reach level 30, they can pick up the quest and join the races, even without having Dragonflight. However, it's important to note that many of the races are quite challenging, especially the Advanced and Reverse courses. To increase their chances of achieving a Gold rating in all races, players may want to obtain the Dragonriding Glyphs from the Dragon Isles beforehand.

Many players are pleased to have an extra week to participate in the World of Warcraft event, as these races are both enjoyable and challenging. Fans are particularly enjoying revisiting the locations in Kalimdor during this event, where they can ride dragons and explore the old zones. In fact, the dynamic flying zone feature is so popular that players are hoping it will be available throughout Azeroth.

Fortunately, it has been confirmed by World of Warcraft that Dragonriding will soon be available in the rest of the game. The game developers have already added Dragonriding animations for almost every draconic mount, as well as popular mounts like gryphons and wyverns, in the PTR. While players await the full implementation of this system into the game, they can look forward to the Eastern Kingdoms Cup starting on October 4, as well as other Dragonriding Race events in Outland, Northrend, and potentially other continents from WoW's history.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
