Players can easily activate the fascinating Hero's Path Mode feature by simply opening the map and pressing the X button. This will display a green line which traces the path of Link's adventures in Hyrule over the past 256 hours, in the exact order he experienced them. What's even more interesting is that players can relive Link's journey by pressing X once Hero's Path Mode is activated, redrawing the entire recorded path of his journey.

After reaching the 256-hour mark, the player's path will continue to be tracked, but the oldest sections will be overwritten. Hero's Path covers all of Hyrule, including the sky islands and the Depths, and the green line's color fades when the player has the wrong map active. This makes Hero's Path Mode an excellent tool for identifying yet-to-be-explored areas, making it a valuable unlock in Tears of the Kingdom, which is only available on the Nintendo Switch.
