Destiny 2 players want Bungie to make Festival of the Lost masks into a transmog so they can use them on other armor pieces.

Candy can be acquired by wearing ritual masks during the event, but many players consider the masks to have subpar stats and unsuitable for most character builds.

Bungie is offering Festival of the Lost Masks for sale in the Eververse store, but certain fans question the rationale behind purchasing them as they solely offer advantages during the event.

Destiny 2 players are calling on Bungie to enable the transformation of Festival of the Lost masks into transmogs, allowing them to be used with other armor pieces. These unique masks are exclusively available during the annual Halloween event, Festival of the Lost.

During the Festival of the Lost event, players have the opportunity to earn new weapons and rewards by engaging in Haunted Sectors and earning Eerie Engrams. This year, Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost has introduced Legend Haunted Sectors as well as a new method for players to enhance Exotic Armor without expending rare materials. An integral component of the event is Candy, a currency that can be acquired by completing activities while wearing any of the whimsical ritual masks. While the community appreciates these amusing masks, they function as separate armor pieces with average statistics and are not ideal for most builds. In response, players have expressed their desire for Bungie to allow for the transmogrification of these masks, enabling them to be equipped with their preferred armor during any activity.

A user named UselessDeadMemes brought up the topic of keeping masks on during activities to earn Candy in a post on the DestinyTheGame subreddit. They expressed their opinion that this mechanic is outdated and suggested that Bungie should instead make Candy and Page Manifestation a default event feature, while converting all the masks into a transmog. Several members of the Destiny 2 community agreed with this suggestion, with one user even pointing out the illogicality of not being able to use an Exotic helmet in activities like Haunted Sectors.

In addition, Bungie is currently selling various Festival of the Lost Masks in Destiny 2's Eververse store for silver. This decision has caused a divide among the fanbase, as some argue that purchasing these masks doesn't make sense in the long term since they occupy an armor slot and only provide benefits during the event.

Additionally, the Festival of the Lost also unveiled Destiny 2's inaugural shader that is entirely black. While previous shaders claimed to be all black, they still possessed noticeable color variations. Regrettably, this particular shader can only be attained through a Memento, which can only be applied once to a crafted weapon, leading to disappointment among certain fans.

Destiny 2 is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
