The Shape: Best Build (2023)The Shape: Best Non-Teachable Build (2023)
As the first licensed Killer to enter Dead by Daylight, The Shape, also known as Michael Myers, brings a merciless and deeply fixated presence. Operating from a distance, The Shape excels at stalking Survivors, gradually escalating his cruelty as he tracks his prey before executing them. This relentless pursuit instills terror, as The Shape systematically eliminates players one by one.
This Dead by Daylight guide aims to showcase the most effective builds for players to employ when playing as The Shape. It covers a range of perks, including both teachable and non-teachable options, to cater to players of different skill levels, ensuring that they can optimize their gameplay as this chilling character.
The Shape: Best Build (2023)
This build is designed to impede generator progress by utilizing a range of perks. Due to The Shape's limited map mobility, this strategy involves safeguarding a nearby group of generators, monitoring their advancement with the help of Tinkerer, and effectively sabotaging their progress with Pop Goes the Weasel and The Artist's Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.
Tinkerer (The Hillbilly) – Whenever a generator reaches 70% completion, players will receive an auditory alert and gain the Undetectable status effect for a duration of 16 seconds.
Corrupt Intervention (The Plague) – At the beginning of the trial, the three generators farthest from the killer's initial position are obstructed for 120 seconds or until the first survivor is incapacitated.
Pop Goes the Weasel (The Clown) – Upon successfully hooking a survivor, kicking a generator within the subsequent 45 seconds will deduct 30% of its current progress.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – The Killer begins the trial with four tokens. Whenever a Survivor is hooked on a white Scourge Hook, one token is consumed and the generator with the highest progress detonates, resulting in a loss of 25% progress.
The Shape: Best Non-Teachable Build (2023)
Despite lacking the advantageous traits enjoyed by other Killers in Dead by Daylight, playing as The Shape can still present a challenging trial. This carefully constructed strategy incorporates Play With Your Food to enhance Michael Myer's slowed movement speed. Additionally, the combination of Sloppy Butcher and Jolt serves to passively impede Survivor progress. Lastly, Fearmonger comes into play to disrupt Survivors' effective utilization of Exhaustion perks.
- Play with Your Food (The Shape): Engaging in a pursuit with the Obsession and allowing them to break free will grant the Killer a maximum of three tokens. Each token enhances movement speed by 5%. Using an attack consumes one token.
- Fearmonger (General Perk): Survivors engaged in generator repairs are afflicted with the Blindness and Exhausted status ailments. These effects persist for five seconds after they cease repairing.
Jolt (General Perk) - When a Survivor is brought down, all generators within a 32-meter range lose eight percent of their progress.
Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) - Normal attacks inflict the Mangled and Hemorrhage effects, reducing healing speed by 25% and reverting any healing progress if interrupted.
Dead by Daylight is available now for Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
