Unleash Chaos: How to Build Your Own King Gleeok Mech in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Unleash your creativity with Ultrahand ability in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and construct an awe-inspiring King Gleeok mech Experience the ultimate power of a player's imagination

A player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has taken the Ultrahand ability to new heights by constructing a flying mech that draws inspiration from King Gleeok. The player proudly shared their accomplishment online, following another player's impressive showcase on how to defeat Gleeok. Since the game's release on May 12, fans have been eagerly sharing their intricate creations utilizing the Ultrahand ability. The game has received widespread praise from critics and fans alike.

The flying mech built by Reddit user mecataylor is a remarkable feat of engineering, drawing inspiration from the fearsome King Gleeok. The machine's three massive heads, capable of spitting out ice, fire, and electricity, give it a commanding presence. Mechataylor even considered adding a Zonai Hydrant to the mech's Shock Emitter to create a burst area lightning effect, but had to abandon the idea due to the game's component cap. However, despite its impressive design, the machine is impractical for prolonged use due to the high power consumption of its Zonai devices. Even with Link's Energy Cell reserves maxed out at 16, the machine can only stay airborne for about 30 seconds before running out of Zonai Charges. As mecataylor admits, the machine was built purely as a fan service move.

For those seeking a more practical aircraft inspired by TotK's formidable foes, mecataylor's original Gleeok mech design is worth exploring. Recently shared on Reddit, this aircraft utilizes a single Colossal Fossil head, resulting in increased maneuverability and the ability to incorporate an auto-targeting system powered by a Construct Head to take down enemies with ease. Despite its advanced technology, the Gleeok mech design incorporates fewer Zonai components, allowing it to remain airborne for extended periods and inflict significant damage on enemy encampments. For those hesitant to pilot a massive flagship, unmanned attack drones showcased by Tears of the Kingdom players may be a viable alternative.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Nintendo Switch.
