Endura Carrots: Their Purpose and Location in Tears of the Kingdom

Endura Carrots, a familiar ingredient from Breath of the Wild and other Zelda games, make a comeback in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These carrots serve the same purpose and have similar uses as before. They can be found in various locations throughout the game, including as quest rewards.

What Is Endura Carrot Used For?

Endura Carrots serve multiple purposes in the Legend of Zelda series. Initially introduced in Ocarina of Time as a representation of Epona's spur count, these carrots made a comeback in Breath of the Wild as an ingredient that can be used to restore and increase stamina when cooked. In Tears of the Kingdom, these carrots play a crucial role in satisfying the hunger of a particular resident in the Fairy Fountain named Malanya, who has specific dietary requirements. Fortunately, there are various methods to obtain Endura Carrots, ensuring that Malanya's hunger is always satisfied.

When Endura Carrots are utilized as an ingredient in cooking recipes in Tears of the Kingdom, they have the unique property of enhancing Link's maximum stamina. Upon cooking, players are granted an additional yellow-colored Stamina wheel that is only utilized once the normal green one has been depleted.

Feeding Endura Carrots to Link's horse can improve their relationship and obedience, as well as provide additional Spur wheels for riding. Additionally, players seeking to upgrade or revive their horses in Tears of the Kingdom can offer a single Endura Carrot to Malanya, the Horse God, who resides near the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab and East Akkala Stable.

Where To Find Endura Carrot in Tears of the Kingdom

Satori Mountain, located near the Outskirt Stable to the west of Hyrule Field, is the prime location for Endura Carrots in Tears of the Kingdom. This mountain was previously known for its Lord of the Mountain in Breath of the Wild, and now players can find a new Shrine and an abundance of Endura Carrots here. Scaling to the mountain's peak will yield the most carrots in the wild, which regenerate over a few days. While Endura Carrots can be purchased from traveling vendors throughout Hyrule or found in specific locations, Satori Mountain remains the best option for harvesting them in large quantities from the wild.

Endura Carrots as Quest Rewards

Endura Carrots can also be obtained by completing quests in Tears of the Kingdom. To find a single Endura Carrot for Malanya, speak to Aya at the East Akkala Stable, located south of the Horse God's fountain. Aya will ask Link to defeat a group of pirates threatening the coastline, and upon completion, she will reward him with an Endura Carrot (as well as some Pony Points). Additionally, it's recommended to complete the Shrine located above Malanya's area for a convenient teleportation back from The Gathering Pirates' ships. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
