The Korok Forest, a familiar location from Breath of the Wild, makes a return in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Here, players will encounter some recognizable characters such as the Deku Tree, Hestu, and the mischievous Walton. Unlike in the previous game, Walton has hidden three objects around the Deku Tree for Link to find in Tears of the Kingdom. While these objects are cleverly concealed, players can seek assistance if needed.

To unlock Walton's treasure hunt, players must first save the Lost Woods from Ganondorf's grasp. This entails a brief quest chain where players must navigate the Chasm located within the Deku Tree's stomach. From there, they must venture into the Depths and defeat both a Gloom Hands and a Phantom Ganon among the roots of the tree. Once done, the Lost Woods will be restored and safe for the Koroks and the Deku Tree.

Players can reach the top of the Deku Tree by climbing or utilizing Link's new Ascend Power. Once there, they will find Walton in his usual spot eagerly awaiting someone to play with. Upon conversing with him, Walton will inquire about Link's opinion on his hiding skills. He will then request Link to find both a Forest Dweller Sword and Spear.

To obtain the Forest Dweller's Sword, players must navigate through the Lost Woods. This can be achieved by following the direction of the wind and listening for the music of a Korok. Once players have successfully reached the Korok Forest, they must locate a chest containing the Forest Dweller's Sword. This sword is essential for completing Walton's challenge, so players should ensure that they have obtained it before proceeding.

To start off, Link must make space in his inventory for the two new weapons that he is about to acquire. Fortunately, the giant Korok Hestu will be present on the ground below to assist in expanding the weapon and shield inventory, providing ample space for these quest items.

Located at the top of this particular bark section is the Forest Dweller Sword, a durable, one-handed weapon crafted from wood with a power level of 7. Additionally, the spear contains bursting materials that can be repeatedly utilized.

The Forest Dweller Spear may prove to be a bit elusive for some players. It can be found on the opposite side of the Deku Tree's head from Walton, tucked away behind one of the large branches. The specific location of the spear is at coordinates 0405, 2197, 0229. This two-handed spear is crafted from wood and boasts a power rating of 7. Additionally, the fused burst materials from Tears of the Kingdom can be repeatedly utilized to enhance the weapon's effectiveness.
