Uncovering the Secrets of Mineru's Spirit in Zelda

Initiated by interacting with the Zonai Relic beyond the large doors on Dragonhead Island, "Guidance from Ages Past" is a main quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To complete this quest, players must venture into the Depths, solve puzzles, and face a boss. This guide offers a step-by-step walkthrough to help players complete the quest.

Players who haven't spent much time activating Lightroots within the Depths should prepare by stocking up on TotK's Brightbloom Seeds. These items make traversing the Depths easier and will be invaluable to fans working on this main quest.

Follow the Light

Upon interacting with the Zonai Relic, a brilliant light will emanate from it, prompting players to embark on their first quest objective. The task at hand requires fans to take the Relic to the exact location where its light shines. In order to achieve this, fans must pick up the Relic and make their way down the ramp ahead. Once at the bottom, they should attach the object to the wings on the ground and then fix two Fans and a TotK's Steering Stick onto their craft's wings. Next, they must fly their vehicle northwards and land at the point where the light ultimately terminates (1310, -2472, 0083).

Upon reaching this location, players will come across a pedestal where they must place the Zonai Relic to reveal a hidden path that leads underground. At the end of this path, fans will find a lift, and setting the Relic on the post at its center will enable them to descend into the depths of TotK.

To the Ruins

Upon reaching the underground section, head towards the southern direction to activate the Muokuij Lightroot at coordinates 0867, -2274, -0556. Grab the Zonai Relic and make your way towards the Construct Factory located at 0866, -2159, -0560. Upon reaching the factory, players will come across a circular device. Use TotK's Ultrahand ability to place the Relic in the top slot, which will trigger the next objective. Fans are in for an exciting challenge ahead.

The next task for players is to fill the remaining four slots of the circular device with nearby parts. This segment includes a multitude of puzzles that can be challenging for players. To help fans complete these puzzles, a comprehensive guide to Tears of the Kingdom's Construct Factory is available. It is highly recommended that players activate the Uisihcoj Lightroot at 0929, -1904, -0460 before beginning these puzzles, as the light it provides can be incredibly helpful.

To the Secret Stone of Spirit

Once the circular device is complete, players can expect the body to emerge, and they should quickly mount it to ride up the ramp. A brief tutorial on the construct's functionality awaits them upon arrival. Following the tutorial, players must navigate their way through a series of armories en route to the Spirit Temple at 1424, -3160, -0607. To reach the Temple, players can follow the path below, but should be prepared to engage in a few battles along the way.

Head northeast to the armory located at coordinates 1077, -2154, -0557, and equip the Fan onto your back slot. Then, move southeast to the armory located at coordinates 1232, -2329, -0626, and attach the Cannon onto your hand slot. Proceed south to Sijoutu Lightroot at 1216, -2542, -0612 and activate it. Afterward, head to the armory at 1215, -2791, -0583, and attach the Spiked Iron Ball onto your hand slot. Use the Spiked Iron Ball to break through the cracked rocks and continue heading south. Eventually, you'll reach the armory at 1383, -3115, -0638, where you can attach the Rocket to your back slot. Utilize the Rocket to cross the broken ramp at 1434, -3129, -0624.

Players are now at the Spirit Temple, and they should proceed inside and examine the statue in the middle of the room to activate a lift. When that lift comes to a stop, fans should walk forward toward the Secret Stone to initiate a boss battle.
