Fans have been eagerly discussing potential DLC ideas for the game, and this discovery has only added fuel to the fire. One of the many improvements Tears of the Kingdom boasts over its predecessor is the ability to customize the paraglider, a tool introduced in Breath of the Wild. Players can now choose from dozens of fabrics scattered throughout Hyrule, which can be obtained through chest finds or quest rewards.
There are rumors circulating among fans that Princess Zelda and Gerudo King skins may be released as DLC in the future. YouTuber Lootward even discovered in-game models for these skins, but they cannot be unlocked through normal gameplay. The skins have ID numbers 1049 and 1050 respectively, and some fans speculate that they may be hints of upcoming amiibo figurines due to the indexing format of all paraglider fabrics in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
The currently obtainable paraglider skin with the highest ID is 1048, which can be acquired by scanning the Tears of the Kingdom Link amiibo and grants the Champion's Tunic Fabric. The existence of unique paraglider fabrics with names such as "Princess" or "Gerudo" further supports the amiibo theory. These fabrics, including Princess of Twilight, Hyrule-Princess, Gerudo, and Gerudo-Champion, are exclusively rewarded for scanning specific Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom amiibo. With the possibility of two more Tears of the Kingdom amiibo, the recently discovered paraglider fabrics may provide clues about their design. For instance, the Princess Zelda paraglider resembles Zelda's Zonai attire, while the Gerudo King paraglider takes inspiration from Ganondorf's appearance in Tears of the Kingdom.
Despite the less probable DLC interpretation of the paraglider fabrics that were recently discovered, fans of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom still have high hopes for post-launch content.
