Unlocking Koltin in Tears of the Kingdom

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Bubbul Gems are a valuable new collectible obtained exclusively from Bubbulfrogs found in the caves and tunnels of Hyrule. These gems serve as currency in trading with Koltin, the brother of Kilton from Breath of the Wild. Koltin can be found in four locations: north of Tarrey Town, south of Lookout Landing, south of Popla Foothills Skyview Tower, and in his initial location. Trading with Koltin offers access to unique items, such as the highly coveted Mystic Clothing armor set.

How to Unlock Koltin in Tears of the Kingdom (Koltin's Location #1)

To access Koltin's shop and trade Bubbul Gems, players must first complete a short side quest. Once completed, Koltin can be easily located at any of the three designated locations. As soon as the conversation with Kilton ends, Koltin emerges from the Pico Pond Cave in a hurry. He expresses his desire to transform into the awe-inspiring Satori, the Lord of the Mountain. This initiates the beginning of the quest "The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!"

Head inside the cave and confront the Bubbulfrog, a radiant amphibian monster. Retrieve the Bubbul Gem it drops and deliver it back to Koltin. He will eagerly ingest the gem, but upon discovering it's inadequate to transform him, he will dash away in a hurry. Kilton will inform players of his plans to relocate and they can track him down in Tarrey Town.
