In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the stables found across Hyrule serve as safe havens for tired travelers and their horses. Link can find rest by renting a bed and participate in various horse-related activities at these stables. Furthermore, these stables provide side quests where Link can assist the residents with a range of tasks, such as investigating the mysterious disappea
rance of Princess Zelda.
Moreover, Link has the opportunity to undertake quests that focus on improving the aesthetics of the stables' interiors. By including paintings showcasing the breathtaking landscapes of Hyrule, the atmosphere of the stables can be enhanced. To access these quests, Link must complete one temple as part of the game's main story quest, "Regional Phenomena," and obtain the Camera. If these requirements are not met, Link can still interact with the photo frame, but the stable keeper will not offer any quests.
A Picture for Riverside Stable Quest Walkthrough
"A Picture for Riverside Stable" begins at Tears of the Kingdom's Riverside Stable, which is situated at coordinates (0328, -1085, 0009) in the southeastern corner of Hyrule Field, adjacent to Hylia River. Nearby, players can find Tajikats Shrine, a shrine that can be quickly accessed through fast-travel if it has been unlocked. To reach the stable, players can travel south from Lookout Landing or glide directly east from Hyrule Field Skyview Tower.
Within the confines of the Riverside Stable, a sizable frame is affixed to the interior's right wall. By engaging with this frame, Link will prompt Ember, the diligent stable keeper, to interject and elucidate that the Stable Association has generously bestowed upon each stable a magnificent frame. This frame serves as a vessel for exhibiting an enticing painting, which is intended to offer delight to the esteemed patrons.
Ember expresses his firm decision to Link, stating his desire to obtain a picture of a Great Goddess Statue. These statues hold significant importance as they serve as essential landmarks for Link. By visiting a Goddess Statue, Link can exchange the Light of Blessing, earned through completing shrines, in order to enhance his heart containers and stamina wheel.
The Great Goddess Statues, larger in size compared to the regular monuments, pose a greater challenge in their discovery. Fortunately, Ember shares information about a potential location - a temple situated southwest of Hyrule Field - where Link may find a Great Goddess Statue.
The Temple of Time Ruins, positioned at around (-0794, -1829, 0087) coordinates, are being referred to. To reach these ruins, players will need to head south to the Great Plateau. Fast travel is convenient through the nearby Tadarok Shrine, or alternatively, players can teleport to the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower. From there, they can ascend and glide towards the Ruins.
Upon reaching the Ruins, players should make their way towards the largest building situated at the southernmost point of the Temple of Time Ruins. Here lies the Great Goddess Statue, positioned at coordinates (-0823, -2029, 0119). Although the statue itself remains non-functional until the completion of another quest, Link is still able to capture a photo for the "A Picture for Riverside Stable" task, even if said quest has not been finished.
To complete the task, players must align the camera viewfinder with the statue and ensure that the phrase "Temple of Time Statue" (instead of the expected "Great Goddess Statue") and the adjacent red quest exclamation point appear within the frame. Simply capture a photo of the statue and return to the Riverside Stable. Ember will reward Link with 1 Pony Point and a serving of revitalizing Crab Stir-Fry.
