Warm Safflina LocationsWhere to Use Warm Safflinas
In Tears of the Kingdom, Link has the ability to cook a variety of meals using the materials he collects during his quest. By combining specific ingredients, players can create meals that provide temporary buffs. For example, using Warm Safflinas guarantees protection from hot weather.
Warm Safflinas are a type of flower found in Tears of the Kingdom. They thrive in warmer areas, so players won't come across them in the Hebra or Tabantha Regions. In addition to their culinary uses, Warm Safflinas are also valuable for upgrading a specific armor set. This makes them worth the effort of farming.
Warm Safflina Locations
According to the Hyrule Compendium, Warm Safflinas can be found in the Eldin Canyon and the Gerudo Desert. To narrow down their location in these large regions, it is important to note that Warm Safflinas do not grow in groups. Instead, players are more likely to come across individual Warm Safflinas spaced at a distance from each other.
To simplify the search, players should aim to unlock the Camera for the Purah Pad. This can be done by speaking to Josha at Lookout Landing after obtaining the Paraglider. Completing a series of quests will introduce Link to The Depths and ultimately grant him the Camera. However, Link will also need to acquire the Auto-Build Ability from the Great Central Mine in The Depths. Once both the Camera and Auto-Build Ability are obtained, players can then speak to Robbie to begin the quests necessary to obtain the Sensor and Hyrule Compendium.
After obtaining the Sensor+, players have the ability to capture an image of a Warm Safflina and track it on the map using the Y-button (-). The tracking feature can be toggled using the same Y-button. The Sensor+ operates similarly to the Shrine Sensor, but both cannot be active simultaneously. If players wish to resume tracking Shrines, they must remove the Warm Safflina from the Sensor+.
Gerudo Desert
In order to find the Warm Safflinas in the Gerudo Region, players must first clear the Lightning Temple as the storm makes the map unclear before that point. Additionally, it is advisable for them to acquire level 2 heat-resistant armor for exploring the desert and, if they wish, the Sand Boots to enhance their ability to traverse the sandy terrain.
Warm Safflinas can be found growing in the southwestern region of the Gerudo Desert, specifically around the Karahatag Shrine (-3714, -3618, 0044). Additionally, they can also be spotted near the cave where the Great Gerudo Skeleton resides (-4849, -3629, 0028).
Finally, they can be farmed from the giant bones a little southwest from Gerudo Town (-3875, -2864, 0043).
Eldin Region
In Eldin Canyon, players can venture without the need for heat-resistant armor. Regrettably, the Warm Safflinas are more widely scattered compared to their presence in Gerudo.
Head north of Goron City near YunoboCo (coordinates: 1647, 2839, 0415) for improved chances of finding valuable items.
In addition, you can discover Warm Safflinas along Eldin's Flank (coordinates: 2056, 3540, 0199), situated north of the Sibajitak Shrine (coordinates: 2399, 3274, 0402).
Eldin's Flank and the surrounding area of YunoboCo are teeming with dangerous creatures. To remain undetected by the Bokoblins and Lizalfos, players can utilize the power of Majora's Mask or any of the Monster Masks.
Where to Use Warm Safflinas
Eldin's Flank and YunoboCo: A Refuge for Players Seeking to Outwit Monstrous Enemies.Warm Safflinas have a multitude of applications. They are frequently employed in culinary endeavors. Additionally, players have the option to combine them with arrows, albeit yielding a mere one Fuse Attack point. Nevertheless, the optimal course of action regarding Warm Safflinas is to preserve them for enhancing the Snowquill Set.
The Snowquill Armor provides protection against the cold for Link. When it reaches level 2 through the help of a Great Fairy, it bestows the "Unfreezable" Set Bonus upon Link. Upgrading each piece of the Snowquill Armor from 1-star to 2-stars requires x3 Warm Safflinas.
To access armor upgrading, players must complete the "Lucky Clover Gazette" Side Adventure. This will consequently introduce Link to the Stable Trotters, a troupe of traveling performers, and initiate the "Serenade to a Great Fairy" side quests. Completing a minimum of two Great Fairy side quests is necessary to unlock level 2 armor upgrades.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
