By assembling a Set comprising three armor pieces, players can unlock a valuable Set Bonus. Additionally, there are individual accessories with their own distinctive effects, which can be utilized even without being part of a Set.

The Opal Earrings can be purchased by players from an armor store located somewhere in Hyrule. Although they may not be as useful towards the end of the campaign, these earrings prove to be beneficial in areas that involve extensive swimming. Similar to the other jewelry found in Tears of the Kingdom, players will need to be prepared to pay a substantial amount if they wish to acquire the Opal Earrings for their inventory.

Opal Earrings Location

The Opal Earrings can be found at the Starlit Memories jewelry store in Gerudo Town. The exact location of the store is (-3792, 2903, 0043). In case it is the player's first visit to Gerudo Town, they should head to the Gerudo Town Shelter to find the clerk of Starlit Memories. However, it is important to note that the clerk will only start selling the Opal Earrings after the completion of the "Riju of Gerudo Town" main quest.

The Opal Earrings are priced at 750 Rupees and provide a defense value of 3. Wearing them grants a boost to Link's Swim Speed. In case players face a shortage of Rupees, they have the option to sell valuable ores, such as Rubies, Sapphires, Diamonds, or cooked meals. Selling a single diamond ore to a merchant will yield 500 Rupees due to its rarity. However, players may find it more advantageous to sell approximately 7 Rubies, as each Ruby can be sold for 110 Rupees. Rubies are more abundant compared to Sapphires, which fetch a higher price but are arguably rarer to come across.

Rare ores can be obtained from Rare Ore Deposits that are commonly found in caves, particularly in the Eldin Region near YunoboCo and Goron City. These deposits can be identified by their golden ore or sparkling appearance. Rare Ore Deposits have the potential to yield any gem (excluding Luminous Stones) as well as Flint. Among the gems, Topaz is relatively more common than Rubies, while Rubies are more abundant than Sapphires and Diamonds.

You can unlock this adventure by speaking to Traysi at the Lucky Clover Gazette, which is located just before the bridge leading to Rito Village. Additionally, you'll need a towing harness for your horse. You can acquire one by spending 3 Pony Points, which you can earn by speaking to the stablehead during your initial visit, registering horses, or completing side quests for specific NPCs who work at the stables.

To enhance armor to its highest level (4-stars), players must complete all the "Serenade to a Great Fairy" side quests to enlist the help of the Great Fairies. These upgrades demand both materials and Rupees, which are exclusively found in TotK. Below are the upgrade options for Opal Earrings:

It is important to note that wearing the Opal Earrings along with the Zora Armor and Zora Greaves will not activate the Zora Armor's Set Bonus. To reduce Link's stamina consumption while dashing in water, it is recommended to wear a complete level-2 Zora Set with the Zora Helm instead of the Opal Earrings. Additionally, both the Opal Earrings and Zora Helm offer the same level of defense when fully upgraded.

Alternatively, players have the option to don Opal Earrings in combination with more robust armor like the Champion's Leathers and a pair of trousers with a defense rating of 28, like the noteworthy Trousers of the Wild. Considering that the true potential of the Opal Earrings can only be realized while swimming, it is probable that players will only equip them if they are engaging in fishing activities.
