A resourceful player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom discovered a clever method to defeat a silver Boss Bokoblin with a single attack by making use of the game's building mechanics. They eagerly shared this seemingly impossible accomplishment on social media, coinciding with another fan displaying their versatile troupe train in Tears of the Kingdom.
The latest Zelda game expands upon numerous elements from Breath of the Wild, including a wider array of enemies and improved AI. These enhancements are exemplified by the introduction of Boss Bokoblins, colossal creatures capable of organizing the Bokoblins in Tears of the Kingdom into a significantly more formidable force.
Recently, a Reddit user named Switcheroo11 discovered that even the most imposing creatures can be defeated with just one strike, provided it is delivered by a significantly large object. In a gameplay video shared by Switcheroo11, they showcased this revelation by releasing a massive "hammer vehicle" onto a silver Boss Bokoblin, instantly eliminating it. The impressive contraption used in the video consisted of various obscure components, including a weighty stone block that is exclusively found in the Hebra skies on the opposite side of the map. However, the concept behind this technique seems relatively straightforward to replicate. Switcheroo11 believes that any sufficiently heavy object, when dropped with adequate angular momentum, would achieve the desired result. This is precisely why the player designed their enormous construction in the shape of a hammer, providing sufficient time for the concrete head to gain momentum upon impact.
The disposal method is said to work on all enemies from the Tears of the Kingdom, including Lynels and Boss Bokoblins. This technique is particularly useful for farming enemy drops, as it is more efficient than traditional combat methods. Using Autobuild, one can create a hammer that only requires a few Zonaite pieces instead of wasting weapon durability. Additionally, Switcheroo11 has showcased an even more clever approach, using the hammer as a vehicle to travel between mob farming spots, reducing the need for unnecessary tool rebuilding.
Interestingly, this is not the first instance where players have discovered new applications for the game's Ultrahand ability. Just recently, another Tears of the Kingdom player managed to build a functioning combustion engine by harnessing Link's versatile power of object manipulation.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
