On game day, we know what Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is wearing underneath his uniform.
During the November 13th episode of ESPN's ManningCast, 28-year-old Mahomes joined Peyton Manning and Eli Manning to talk about his ritual of wearing red underwear during every NFL game. He revealed that his wife Brittany Mahomes got them for him and he feels the need to wear them. Mahomes mentioned that wearing those red underwear during his first season proved lucky as the team had a successful run. However, he clarified that he only wears them on game day to avoid excessive wear and tear, assuring that they are not dirty since he washes them occasionally.
"I won't wash them if I'm on a winning streak," he confidently acknowledged. "I simply have to maintain the momentum. As long as I continue to win football games, I'll uphold this superstition." During a February installment of "The Adam Schefter Podcast," ex-Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Chad Henne revealed insights about Patrick's lucky underwear.
During their conversation, Schefter, 54, inquired Henne, 38, about something he observes on game days that goes unnoticed by the audience. In response, the NFL star divulged, "It's the superstitions. [Patrick] has this certain ritual every day... the same pair of underwear. Not many people are aware of that. He's been wearing it on game days ever since I joined the team."
Henne playfully added, "[Patrick] is like, 'Hey, what's up? Are you checking out my underwear?'" He further disclosed that Patrick's briefs are either red and from the brand "Hannes" or "lululemon."

"He enters the locker room and there it is, right in front of you. While I am stretching, I catch a quick glimpse and think to myself, 'Wow, he's wearing them once again.' It is clear that this has become a superstition and a source of good luck," Henne explained.
Brittany, 28, and Patrick have been a couple since high school and got married in March 2022. They have two children together - a 2-year-old daughter named Sterling and an 11-month-old son named Bronze.
Similar to Patrick, Brittany has a ritual of dressing up in preppy and festive outfits on game days. She enjoys incorporating the team's colors into her attire, whether it's wearing red and yellow ensembles or sporting garments with her last name printed on them. She always strives to look her best for these sporting events.
Earlier this month, the entire family collaborated with Kim Kardashian's brand, Skims, for a photoshoot. The images captured them in charmingly coordinated flannel pajamas and various loungewear. They affectionately posed together, with Brittany even sharing a kiss with Bronze, while Patrick cozied up with Sterling.
