Shadowmere's glitchy animation in Skyrim led to a hilariously absurd moment.
The horse was unexpectedly discovered engaging in a humorous act, which entertained many commenters.
As Starfield is soon to be released, players can anticipate entertaining animation glitches, which may involve customizable starships instead of horses this time.
Every now and then, a Skyrim player may witness their horse, Shadowmere, glitching in a peculiar manner, resembling an infamous gesture from older video games. In a video, Shadowmere can be seen "tea-bagging" a draugr corpse, a behavior that was once common in gaming but is now considered outdated and somewhat distasteful. However, this gesture is still recognizable to gamers of all ages, spanning generations. Tea-bagging, symbolizing humiliation, was most prevalent during the mid-2000s and somehow found a revival through one of Skyrim's popular mounts.
Shadowmere, known to Skyrim players, used to be the trusted horse of Lucien Lachance, the renowned Speaker of the Dark Brotherhood from Oblivion. Although the Dragonborn can acquire the ability to summon the spirit of Lucien through the Dark Brotherhood storyline in Skyrim, it is often Shadowmere that garners the most interest from players. Like Arvaak and the Unicorn, Shadowmere is a favored choice for the Dragonborn as a mount, albeit one that is avoided by those playing a morally upright character due to how it is obtained.
In a short video shared by ItsGehrke on the official Skyrim subreddit, the player character can be seen confidently wielding their Dragonborn Sword to defeat a Restless Draugr with a powerful strike. However, the horse known as Shadowmere encounters some animation glitches while trying to climb the stairs in a Nordic ruin, resulting in an amusing situation where the horse appears to repeatedly bounce on top of the defeated draugr.
This comical scene attracted a lot of attention and laughter from the Skyrim community. Among the comments, there was a helpful tip for new players, advising them to always gather arrows from fallen enemies. Unlike other loot, arrows in Skyrim don't add weight to the player's inventory, offering valuable gold without taking up precious space.
With Starfield looming ahead, there is a lingering question about whether the forthcoming Bethesda sandbox game will be plagued by the everlasting amusement of animation glitches that have become synonymous with Creation Engine games. However, in contrast to Skyrim, Starfield will feature its very own fully customizable starship as the chosen mode of transportation. While it is likely that the game will steer clear of major bugs, players can anticipate the creation of a multitude of bizarre designs. Currently, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
