For Kelly Rizzo, the hardest part of filming Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test wasn’t the grueling challenges but getting a good night’s sleep.
"Tara Reid's snoring kept everyone awake at night," Rizzo, 44, disclosed on the episode of the "Whine Down with Jana Kramer" podcast that aired on Monday, October 9. "Tom Sandoval also snored a lot, but my biggest fear was the noise while sleeping."
Due to restrictions, the cast members were not allowed to bring items like eye masks and earplugs. To find a solution, Rizzo's co-star Jack Osbourne came up with an inventive, albeit uncomfortable, method to block out the noise. "He handed me a piece of paper towel and told me to stuff it in my ear," she shared. "So, I took pieces of rough, industrial paper towel and inserted them into my ears before going to sleep."
Rizzo, the spouse of the late actor and comedian Bob Saget, mentioned that taking a shower during the filming required fetching either scalding hot or freezing cold water. She revealed that only Tyler Cameron and Savannah Chrisley were the ones she knew of who actually took a shower, and it became quite a big deal.
As a lifestyle blogger, Rizzo is one of the 14 celebrities who are being challenged in season 2 of Special Forces, which premiered on September 25. While some of her fellow cast members like Brian Austin Green and Blac Chyna have caused some drama, Rizzo stated that her objective was to get through the filming without attracting much attention.
She explained that she wanted to avoid being noticed by the directing staff and preferred to go unnoticed. To achieve this, she purposely avoided drawing attention to herself even when staying in the bunkhouse or barracks, as cameras were constantly monitoring them for 14 hours a day. She also mentioned that even at night, there were infrared cameras capturing their activities while they slept.
Another reason for Rizzo's participation in the show was to test her physical and mental strength. After Saget's death, her family and friends had described her as "strong," and she wanted to challenge herself in order to prove their perception right. Saget, who was a former Full House cast member, had passed away at the age of 65 in a Florida hotel room in January 2022 due to head trauma.

"When constantly reminded of your strength, you can't help but wonder if there's truth to it," she shared with host Jana Kramer. "And what better way to put that to the test than to completely shed every familiar aspect of your life, from creature comforts to the presence of loved ones, in a challenging and unforgiving environment."
She added, "Facing constant yelling from Navy Seals and British Special Forces, with their intimidating British accents, can be incredibly challenging. There is no better test of one's strength than this. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to discover my true strength at the very core."
