Weezing, a beloved Pokemon from Generation 1, has been recreated as an impressive rug by a dedicated fan.
The rug showcases a distinctive color palette, with mocha accents and a contrasting crossbones emblem in a richer, cream tone. It has captured the attention of fellow enthusiasts and can be acquired, alongside rugs featuring other beloved Pokemon characters.
A devoted Pokemon fan has crafted an extraordinary rug inspired by Weezing, a prominent Pokemon from the iconic Game Boy games of Generation 1. Although Weezing is absent from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Koffing and Weezing continue to hold a special place in the hearts of fans as two of the most beloved creatures in the enduring Pokemon franchise.
Weezing, a Poison-type Pokemon, evolves from Koffing at level 35 or above. By feeding Koffing 50 Candies, Pokemon GO players can transform it into Weezing. In Pokemon Sword and Shield, Weezing acquired a unique Galar regional form, granting it the additional Fairy type alongside its Poison type upon evolution from Koffing. Additionally, Galarian Weezing made a limited-time appearance in Pokemon GO during a November 2019 event. According to official lore by The Pokemon Company, the pollution caused by Galar's vast factories led to the creation of its Galar form.
Pokemon enthusiast VideTextilStudio recently produced a mesmerizing rug featuring Weezing upon receiving a custom order. This stunning creation was then shared with the active online community for fans to admire. Prior to crafting the rug, the user first designed unique concept art for Weezing and painstakingly prepared and processed the textile materials required. It's worth noting that the concept art deviates slightly from Weezing's official artwork, as the Pokemon's gas takes on a brown hue rather than the usual mustard-like green color. Additionally, instead of using a white shade, the skull and crossbones symbol on Weezing's body sports a darker cream color. Nevertheless, the rug successfully retains the recognizable purple color of Weezing's body.
During the production process, VideTextilStudio had reservations about the background color due to subtle differences between the concept art and the fabric of the rug itself. However, these concerns were assuaged, and the user is extremely satisfied with the final product. In fact, numerous Pokemon enthusiasts have already expressed interest in purchasing the Weezing rug from VideTextilStudio's online store. It is worth mentioning that each rug is meticulously handcrafted by VideTextilStudio in Spain, offering the opportunity for customized orders and various sizes. Furthermore, the shop also showcases rugs featuring other beloved Generation 1 Pokemon such as Pikachu and Charmander.
The stunning rug by VideTextilStudio beautifully showcases their textile expertise and pays homage to Weezing. While the rug deviates slightly from The Pokemon Company's original design, the harmonious blend of colors and fabrics creates a one-of-a-kind interpretation of Weezing.
Currently not featured in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Weezing may indeed make a comeback in the highly-anticipated Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. Additional information regarding this DLC, as well as updates on other Pokemon titles, is expected to be unveiled during the upcoming Pokemon Presents presentation on August 8th.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
