In Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, a new piece of fan art showcases the inclusion of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man versions alongside Spider-Man 2099's team. The highly anticipated superhero franchise recently made its return with the release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, where Miles Morales reemerges on the big screen. Alongside his encounters with new allies and foes, he crossed paths with Spider-Man 2099, the leader of the Spider Society, who united multiple Spider-Man variants to safeguard the multiverse. In addition to animated cameos, the film didn't shy away from incorporating live-action appearances. Art of Time Travel has now presented fan art that envisions Garfield and Maguire's Spider-Men as members of the Spider Society in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Art of Time Travel's work involves Miguel guiding Maguire and Garfield's Peters as they navigate through the headquarters. In addition to their participation, the Spider Society has successfully apprehended a number of live-action antagonists, comprising Electro, Green Goblin, Venom, Doctor Octopus, and The Lizard.
How Beyond The Spider-Verse Can Bring Back The Live-Action Spider-Men
Sony has provided limited information about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the upcoming project that will conclude Miles' current storyline. Given its intriguing title, there has been much speculation that the third installment will surpass expectations by not only being an animated film. This theory seems to be gaining credibility with the announcement of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, hinting at the potential return of the live-action Spider-Men.
Donald Glover's Prowler, a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, made a cameo appearance in his iconic comic book costume. Archive footage also confirmed the presence of Garfield and Maguire's versions of Peter Parker, indicating that the Spider-Verse franchise incorporates their respective universes. The franchise has already established the means for variants to travel between worlds, be it through live-action or animation. As a result, it seems likely that any of the live-action Spider-Men could make a return in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. It would be surprising if none of the live-action universes were represented in the film, considering the effort made to establish the connection between animated and live-action characters. With any luck, fans may catch a glimpse of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse before the end of the year, unless there is a delay from its planned 2024 release date.
