Here is a list of filler episodes and story arcs in One Piece that fans can skip without missing any important content. One Piece, based on Eiichiro Oda's long-running manga series, is set in a world dominated by piracy where Monkey D. Luffy is among the many who search for the legendary treasure called One Piece. However, like most weekly anime series, One Piece also has filler episodes that are not part of the original manga. These filler episodes are typically light-hearted, insignificant stories created by the animation studio to prevent catching up with the manga.
Unlike Naruto, Bleach, and Dragon Ball Z, the One Piece anime contains relatively few filler episodes. Despite having over 1,000 episodes, the TV series rarely deviates from the manga's canon and its filler episodes are not as poorly received as those in other anime series. You won't find episodes of Luffy and Zoro learning to drive here. While some One Piece episodes include non-canon fillers that embellish the legitimate manga material with extended fight scenes or additional dialogue, others are entirely fabricated and offer no value to the overall storyline.

How One Piece's Filler Content Compares to Other Shonen Anime
At the time of writing, One Piece consists of 94 filler episodes, making up less than 9% of the total episodes. This 9% is quite remarkable considering other popular shonen anime from the same era. In comparison, Naruto had about 40% filler episodes, while Bleach had approximately 45%. Although Dragon Ball had 13% filler, One Piece's low percentage is noteworthy, especially when compared to more recent shonen anime like My Hero Academia, which only has 3% filler, and Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen, which have no filler at all.
However, it is still impressive that an anime running for over two decades only relies on anime original stories 9% of the time. This is mainly due to the fact that One Piece's manga is one of the longest-running comics created by a single person, ensuring a consistent source of material for the anime adaptation. Credit is also owed to the series' animation studio, Toei, for skillfully expanding on scenes from the manga when necessary. One Piece's filler episodes serve as a testament to the vast length and scope of the series.
