Elinor Williams, daughter of Treat Williams, has spoken out for the first time following her father's sudden passing at the age of 71. In an emotional Instagram Story post on Tuesday, June 13, 25-year-old Ellie expressed her devastation, saying that she has never felt such pain before. She shared a throwback photo of her late father, who starred in the TV series Everwood, along with a picture of a jacket embroidered with his name. Ellie also thanked those who have sent messages of support and kept her family in their thoughts during this difficult time.
Treat's passing was confirmed several hours ago following a motorcycle accident in Vermont, where he lived with his family. According to a statement from his representative, Barry McPherson, Treat was involved in an accident when a car cut him off while he was making a turn. McPherson expressed his devastation and described Treat as a talented and kind individual.

On June 14, Ellie paid tribute to her father once again through a social media post. She shared a message on her Instagram Story, saying "We're home, Dad," as a reference to the Williams' family retreat located in Vermont. It was a place that the late Chesapeake Shores star had been visiting since he was a child during family vacations.
In 2021, Treat expressed his immense affection for Vermont, where he purchased his current home 35 years ago. He praised the state's charm, citing its honest and good-natured people, as well as its endless possibilities for exploration on its less-traveled roads. He went on to proclaim that he considers himself exceptionally fortunate to reside in a place that he loves, having no desire to be anywhere else, even after having traveled the world and seen many other beautiful destinations.
Treat had previously shared that he had a strong attachment to his home in the Northeast and did not enjoy leaving it often. In an interview with Parade in August 2018, he elaborated on this sentiment, stating that for him to leave his beloved house in Vermont, the experience would have to be truly exciting and worth the effort, such as traveling with a group of close friends.
In April, Ellie shared a selfie with her father Treat at Universal Studios, where they had visited the Wizarding World. Despite moving to Los Angeles, she still cherishes any opportunity to spend time with her parents.
The late actor replied: “We had such a good time! ️”
