Everwood is a unique place that captured the hearts of viewers during its four-season run on WB TV. The show played a pivotal role in launching the careers of several major stars. The plot revolved around a widowed New York City doctor, Andy Brown, who relocates to Everwood, Colorado, with his two children, teen piano prodigy Ephram and elementary schooler Delia. This move gave the small mountain town a much-needed second doctor's office.

Chris Pratt, who went on to achieve stardom in Parks and Recreation and the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, was one of the breakout stars from the show that aired from 2002 to 2006. In his role as lovable jock Bright Abbott, he captured the hearts of viewers. John Beasley, who narrated the series as Irv Harper, reminisced about their time on set and revealed that he even taught Pratt how to play tennis and golf. Beasley expressed his admiration for Pratt, describing him as a great guy who deserves all the success he has achieved.

Emily VanCamp, who played Ephram's love interest in Everwood, has also made her mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by portraying Sharon Carter in the Captain America films. She joined her fellow Everwood cast members in paying tribute to the late Gregory Williams, who passed away at the age of 71 in a tragic motorcycle accident in June 2023.

"My heart aches upon hearing this news," expressed VanCamp on her Instagram Story. "Sending my deepest condolences to Treat's family during this trying time."

Furthermore, in a separate tribute, she fondly reminisced about their collaborations, describing them as "always wonderful" and expressing her eagerness for future opportunities. "Treat, my friend, soar high," she concluded, sending love and well-wishes to his loved ones.

"Treat's passing is a tremendous loss," stated Smith. "He was not only an exceptional actor, but a kind-hearted and loving person. His family was his top priority and he made sure to always show them how much he cared. I feel privileged to have been a part of his television family and will always hold onto the memories we shared. Treat's infectious laugh, captivating stories and adventurous spirit will be greatly missed. My thoughts and condolences go out to his family, Pam, Gil and Elinor."

On Instagram, Cardone paid tribute to Williams, whom she had worked with since the age of 9 on Everwood. She expressed her heartbreak and referred to him as her second father, both on and off screen. Williams was the one who made her feel at home on set, creating a family-like atmosphere. Cardone thanked Williams for his unwavering support and for treating her and her family like his own. She also acknowledged his dedication and humility in the Hollywood community and credited him for making her childhood memories on Everwood magical and cherished. Pratt also shared his condolences on Instagram, mourning the loss of both Williams and John Beasley, and recognizing them as exceptional actors, husbands, fathers, and friends.

'Everwood' Cast: Where Are They Now?

Everwood was a special place that captured the hearts of viewers during its four-season run on the WB network. It was responsible for launching the careers of several major stars, and its heartwarming storyline resonated with audiences everywhere. The show revolved around the life of a recently widowed New York City doctor named Andy Brown, who relocated his family to the picturesque town of Everwood, Colorado. Chris Pratt, now a well-known actor in Hollywood, got his start on the television show that aired from 2002 to 2006. Before landing roles in popular movies such as Parks and Recreation and Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt played the lovable jock character of Bright Abbott. John Beasley, who narrated the series as Irv Harper, shared during a 2017 Television Critics' Association reunion that he had taught Pratt how to play tennis and golf while on set. Beasley also expressed his surprise at Pratt's rise to fame, but acknowledged that the actor is a great guy who deserves his success.

Emily VanCamp, who played Ephram's true love, Bright's sister Amy, in Everwood, is also part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Sharon Carter in the Captain America films. When John Wesley Williams passed away suddenly in June 2023 at the age of 71 in a motorcycle accident, VanCamp was among the cast who paid tribute to him.

VanCamp expressed her sadness through her Instagram Story, stating that it was "beyond heartbreaking" to hear of the news. She also sent her love to Treat and his family during this tough time. In a separate tribute, she reminisced about the great times they had working together and how she always looked forward to their next collaboration. She ended the message by wishing Treat to rest in peace.

"Treat was not only a great actor but also a kind-hearted person who loved his family dearly. His passing is a huge loss to the entertainment industry and to all those who knew him personally," said Cardone in a heartfelt tribute. "I feel privileged to have worked alongside him on Everwood and to have known him as a friend. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his adventurous spirit, and his talent that inspired many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time."

"My heart is broken. You were not only a mentor to me on set, but also a dear friend off screen," wrote Cardone on her Instagram tribute to Treat Williams, who passed away. "You made Utah and Everwood feel like home to me when I was just a child. You brought us all together like a family, and I will always be grateful for that. Thank you for being there for me and my family, for treating us like your own, and for being an inspiration of dedication and humility in Hollywood. The years we spent on Everwood will always be the most cherished memories of my childhood. You will forever be my TV Papa. I love you so much."

Treat Williams (Andy Brown)

Following his successful stint on Everwood, Williams went on to showcase his acting skills in a variety of films and television shows, including What Happens in Vegas, Christmas on the Square, Heartland, White Collar, and Chicago Fire. He was particularly memorable in his role in Chesapeake Shores, having appeared in a total of 53 episodes. Sadly, Williams passed away in June 2023 due to a tragic motorcycle accident at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife Pam Van Sant, as well as his son Gill and daughter Ellie.

Gregory Smith (Ephram Brown)

Following his role as Everwood's resident piano prodigy, Smith went on to pursue acting and landed small roles on popular TV shows such as Eli Stone and Franklin & Bash. He later secured a notable five-season arc on Rookie Blue, cementing his status as a talented actor in the industry.

As a TV director in the 2010s, Smith made a name for himself with successful shows such as Rookie Blue, Shadowhunters, Arrow, Flash, Riverdale and Superman & Lois - many of which were produced by Greg Berlanti, creator of Everwood. In 2018, he tied the knot with model Taylor McKay and the couple recently welcomed their son, Harry, in January 2021.

Vivien Cardone (Delia Brown)

After Everwood concluded, Cardone focused on her education and attended college. She later pursued her acting career with a role in the 2008 film All Roads Lead Home. In the early 2010s, she also made appearances on popular television shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent and One Life to Live.

According to a June 2023 post via her Instagram, Cardone is a librarian in Chicago.

Emily VanCamp (Amy Abbott)

VanCamp's career has been impressive, having starred in various hit TV dramas such as Brothers & Sisters, Revenge, and The Resident. She also played the role of Sharon Carter in Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and other Marvel projects. Alongside her successful acting career, VanCamp started a family with her husband and Revenge costar, Josh Bowman, and they welcomed their daughter, Iris, in August 2021.

Chris Pratt (Bright Abbott)

Following his success on Everwood, Chris Pratt went on to secure a recurring role on The O.C. and a number of minor roles in films such as Bride Wars, Wanted and Jennifer's Body. However, it was his role as the lovable Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation from 2009 to 2015 that really helped catapult him to stardom. Pratt's big break in the film industry came when he was cast as Star-Lord/Peter Quill in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014, and he also led a new trilogy of Jurassic World movies from 2015 to 2022. In addition to his film work, Pratt can currently be seen starring in Prime Video's The Terminal List and is set to lend his voice to the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023).

Pratt's family has grown over the years. He first became a father to son Jack in 2012 with his ex-wife Anna Faris. They were married in 2009 but eventually divorced in 2017. Pratt then found love again with Katherine Schwarzenegger whom he married in 2019. Together, they welcomed daughters Lyla and Eloise in 2020 and 2022, respectively.

Tom Amandes (Harold Abbott)

Amandes' portrayal of a type-A doctor on the WB drama was just the beginning of his medical roles. He went on to play several other doctors on Parenthood, A Million Little Pieces, Criminal Minds, and other popular shows. In addition, Amandes has reunited with former co-stars from Everwood on The Terminal List, Revenge, and Chicago Fire. His impressive resume also includes memorable performances on Arrow, Scandal, and Perry Mason.

Off-screen, Amandes has been happily married to Nancy Everhard since 1996, and together they have a son named Ben. He also has two daughters, Meg and Nia, from his previous marriage to Jamie O'Reilly.

John Beasley (Irv Harper)

Beasley's acting career spanned across various TV shows and movies, including notable appearances on The Soul Man, The Resident, and The Mandalorian. Sarah Drew (Hannah Rogers)

Drew's talent and hard work paid off as she landed high-profile guest spots on several popular TV shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Mad Men, Supernatural, and Glee. However, it was her remarkable performance on Grey's Anatomy as Dr. April Kepner that truly established her as a household name in the entertainment industry. Not only did she impress audiences with her acting skills, but she also showcased her screenwriting abilities with the release of her debut Christmas movie, Reindeer Games Homecoming, in 2022.

Drew married Peter Lanfer in 2002 and they welcomed son Micah in 2012 and daughter Hannah in 2014.

Merrilyn Gann (Rose Abbott)

She has made appearances in various TV shows and movies such as 2012, Supernatural, Smallville, Life Unexpected, and most recently, Mistresses. In the latter, she played a role in a 2015 episode. Additionally, she portrayed the character of Bright and Amy's mother in an earlier project.
