Treat Williams’ family and close ones paid tribute to the actor at a private funeral on Monday, June 19, according to We's confirmation.

The memorial took place in Vermont, the residence of Treat Williams and his wife, Pam Van Sant. The couple, who were happily married for 35 years, were blessed with two children, son Gill Williams, 31, and daughter Elinor “Ellie” Williams, 25.

According to his representative, Barry McPherson, Treat's death was the result of a fatal motorcycle accident. It was confirmed a week prior that the actor, known for his work on Hallmark Channel and as the star of 1969's Hair, had passed away. McPherson expressed his devastation, describing Treat as the nicest guy and incredibly talented.

McPherson praised him as an exceptional actor, highly regarded and beloved by filmmakers. He has been a prominent figure in Hollywood since the late 1970s, embodying its essence. This year, he took great pride in his performance, expressing satisfaction with the projects he had been involved in. Throughout his career, he has maintained a perfect balance in his choice of roles.

“This is an unimaginable pain. I am completely devastated,” expressed Treat’s daughter in a heartfelt Instagram Story post, hours after his demise. She shared a nostalgic picture of her dad, who was known for his role in Hair, along with another image of a jacket adorned with his name. Ellie expressed her gratitude to all those who have sent messages and shown support to their family during this tragic time of sorrow.”

Treat's funeral took place in Vermont, a place that he had always cherished and enjoyed spending time in. According to an interview with Parade in August 2018, Treat had expressed that at this stage of his life, leaving his beloved Vermont home would only happen if he was truly excited and looking forward to a special occasion or event involving his friends.

Treat's fondness for the New England state began during his childhood and has only grown stronger over the years. He purchased the house he currently resides in 35 years ago, a testament to his deep affection for Vermont. In a recent interview with Vermont magazine, the actor expressed his adoration for the state in both winter and summer. He found something uniquely captivating about Vermont, with its genuine and good-natured people. Treat also relishes the sense of adventure that comes with exploring unfamiliar dirt roads, always eager to stumble upon new discoveries.

"I consider myself incredibly fortunate to be able to say that I genuinely love my current place of residence," he remarked. "Unlike many others, I do not harbor any yearnings for a different location. Vermont provides me with all the necessary amenities and desires. Having traveled extensively throughout the globe, I can confidently state that no other destination has captivated me with its sheer beauty quite like Vermont."
