Matt Bomer, known for his role in American Horror Story, co-starred with Williams on the USA Network series White Collar from 2009 to 2014, where Williams portrayed the father of Bomer's character, Neal Caffrey, in season 4. Emily VanCamp, who acted alongside Williams for all four seasons of Everwood, also paid tribute to her former co-star on Instagram, recalling their many wonderful collaborations in a touching post accompanied by a throwback photo of Williams.
Treat Williams, the beloved actor, passed away on Monday at the age of 71 due to a fatal motorcycle accident. The Williams family confirmed this heartbreaking news in a statement, expressing their shock and deep sorrow. According to the Vermont State Police, Williams sustained critical injuries when an SUV turned in front of him, causing a collision that ejected him from his motorcycle. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, where he was later pronounced dead.
The SUV driver did not receive a citation, however, the police stated that they are continuing their investigation. Williams is survived by his wife, Pam Van Sant, and their two children, son Gill who is 31 years old, and daughter Elinor who is 25.
The family of the actor expressed their profound grief over his passing, stating that he was filled with love for his family, life, and craft, and excelled in all of it. They emphasized that Treat was cherished and admired by his loved ones and acquaintances alike.

Sharing a throwback photo of Williams, the 37-year-old Revenge actress wrote on Monday about the many wonderful times they worked together and how she always looked forward to their next collaboration. Williams' family confirmed his passing on Monday at the age of 71, following a fatal motorcycle accident in Dorset, Vermont. In a statement, they expressed their shock and deep sorrow over the loss of their beloved Treat Williams.
Williams suffered critical injuries at 5 p.m. ET after colliding with an SUV that turned in front of him, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV has not been cited yet, but an investigation is currently ongoing according to the Vermont State Police.
After Treat Williams' passing, his family is left heartbroken. Survived by his wife, Pam Van Sant, and their two children, son Gill and daughter Elinor, the family released a statement expressing their deep love and admiration for the actor. They described Treat as someone who was not only passionate about his craft but also had an immense love for his family and life.
