Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes a page out of the Dark Souls playbook and continues the challenging gameplay experience from Fallen Order. The game's enemy design reflects this, particularly with the formidable bosses that Cal Kestis encounters in his fight against the Empire. From bounty hunters to Sith Lords, these bosses possess a diverse range of abilities that players must overcome. However, their common trait is their difficulty - these are the toughest bosses in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
6 Caij
The opponent in question is a tactical fighter who relies heavily on her agility to keep her distance from her opponents. With a slender build, she knows that her strength lies in her speed and accuracy rather than brute force. She moves around the battlefield with quick and calculated movements, firing off shots from a distance. Players must have exceptional deflecting skills to close in on her, and even then, they must be wary of her arsenal of missiles. A direct hit from these projectiles could prove fatal, and players must use their Force energy wisely to avoid them. However, even if they manage to get close enough for hand-to-hand combat, Caij is quick to retreat and the cycle repeats. It's a constant game of cat and mouse, and players must be on their toes at all times.
5 Kle-0, Masi Finau, & Fenn Finau
Cal faces a daunting task as he goes up against a group of skilled bounty hunters who have joined forces. The players can sense the power in their numbers, making it all the more challenging for Cal to take them down.
To make matters worse, the bounty hunters are attacking from three different directions, with one firing from behind a shield, another launching volleys of rockets from the air, and the third being a tough robot with a devastating right hook. The constant barrage of attacks from multiple enemies makes it difficult for fans to focus on any one foe for too long, causing the targeting system to malfunction. As a result, players are often hit from offscreen, leading to frustration and a sense of unfairness. The game was clearly not designed to handle such a high level of difficulty, making this battle a frustrating experience for players.
4 Rayvis
Initially, Rayvis appears to be a typical brute. While his attacks pack a punch, they are slow and easy to evade. Even his AOE attacks, despite his mace transforming into a flail, can be sidestepped with ease. However, this is merely a glimpse of his true strength.
In the second phase of the battle, Rayvis experiences a sudden burst of speed without sacrificing any of his power. He employs his mace in intricate combos that are more challenging to evade, as he appears to be drawn towards Cal like a magnet. If the hero manages to create some distance, Rayvis unleashes a barrage of blaster fire. With enough force to obliterate one's health bar, Rayvis's resurgence is akin to confronting a freight train.
3 Dagan Gera
Dagan's double-bladed lightsaber provides him with a formidable defense, making this fight a tedious and time-consuming challenge. Players must slowly chip away at his defenses before they can even hope to inflict significant damage. However, they may be surprised at how little damage each strike actually does, making it necessary to keep attacking while avoiding any counterattacks. Ultimately, this battle becomes less about fighting and more about endurance, which can be especially discouraging considering the high stakes of the game. Starting over after a long and grueling fight can be demoralizing.
2 Darth Vader
Vader's formidable presence in the Star Wars universe translates to an equally challenging fight in Jedi: Survivor. His defense may be easier to penetrate than Dagan Gera's, but his health hardly decreases due to his cybernetic enhancements. In fact, Vader's aggression is even higher than Dagan's, as he relentlessly pursues and attacks players, requiring them to stay vigilant and maintain a consistent offense. While defeating Vader is a daunting task, it's worth noting that there are even stronger enemies to face in Jedi: Survivor.
1 Bode
Bode proves to be a formidable opponent, despite being a trusted ally in the past. He compensates for his lack of Jedi skills with a diverse arsenal, including lightsabers, blasters, snipers, bombs, and Force powers. Bode's swift weapon switching requires quick reactions from players to avoid being hit. While Merrin provides some assistance, her frequent stealth attempts leave Cal to face Bode alone. Surviving Bode's relentless attacks is not enough, as Cal also needs to land hits on him. Although Cal's blows may deal more damage, he has fewer opportunities to do so, leaving him drained and focused on survival.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
