Tom Holland shared a heartwarming update on his romance with Zendaya, playfully admitting his lack of need for dating apps. "I'm content and happy in love, so I don't need any distractions," revealed the 27-year-old Avengers: Endgame actor during a recent Buzzfeed interview.
The couple's love story began on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017. In the film, Holland played Spider-Man while Zendaya portrayed MJ. As their onscreen romance blossomed, so did their real-life feelings for each other. In July 2021, the pair were spotted kissing in Los Angeles, seemingly confirming their relationship. Holland revealed that he believes his partners need to genuinely fall in love with him for a relationship to work, and making a movie together can help facilitate that. He explained that playing characters who are falling in love can blur the lines between reality and fiction, making it easier to develop real-life feelings for each other.
Outside of moviemaking, the Uncharted actor joked that he has “no rizz whatsoever,” referring to the slang term short for charisma.
Holland shared that Zendaya frequently sends him memes on Instagram, but he struggles to keep up with her constant messaging due to his habit of deleting the app for days at a time. Despite his efforts to catch up, he often finds himself overwhelmed by the hundreds of messages waiting for him from his co-star.
The actor playing the lead in The Crowded Room, Tom Holland, recently expressed his gratitude towards his girlfriend for being patient with him during the filming of the Apple TV+ series. Holland's character, Danny Sullivan, has long, dark hair which was tough to maintain for 10 months. In an interview with Radio Times, Holland praised his girlfriend Zendaya for putting up with his appearance. The couple recently attended an Usher concert in Las Vegas, fulfilling a childhood dream for Zendaya. The actress shared their experience on her Instagram Story, stating that they were left voiceless by the end of the concert.
In November 2022, a source exclusively revealed to We that the relationship between the Impossible actor and Zendaya is progressing towards a serious commitment, as they both seem to be in a settling-down phase and are actively planning a future together. Earlier that same month, they both attended the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in India, although they arrived separately on the red carpet.
