Tiffany Haddish was arrested for driving under the influence for the second time in two years, according to multiple reports. The 43-year-old comedian was cited by Beverly Hills, California police officers on Friday, November 24. She was handcuffed and escorted into the back of their vehicle.
TMZ was the first to report that law enforcement received a call about a person stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive, appearing to be asleep while the car was still running. When officers arrived, they arrested Haddish for a DUI. She is expected to be released later on Friday. Prior to the arrest, Haddish had been performing at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood for a special Thanksgiving set. The venue had also hosted its 43rd annual free feast for locals.
After the show concluded, Haddish went out to celebrate. She posted Instagram footage of herself dancing at Yachtley Crew’s concert on Thursday, November 23.
Tiffany Haddish was spotted in West Hollywood on March 11, 2021. She shared a follow-up video expressing her desire to attend the Habesha party in Inglewood to experience East African culture. She joked about being turned away from the club, expressing her interest in connecting with her East African roots.
Haddish was previously arrested for a DUI in January 2022, after local Atlanta officers responded to a call of someone sleeping behind the wheel. She was booked for a DUI and improper stopping on a roadway, but was released several hours later after posting a $1,666 bond.
On an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later that month, Haddish joked about praying for a new, good man and remarked about her breakup from Common, saying, “And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out. I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!”
