During her stand-up set at The Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California on Friday, November 24, Tiffany Haddish avoided discussing her recent DUI charge. When an audience member asked the 43-year-old comedian about what had happened "last night," she did not address the question.
"Who knows?" she quipped in audio obtained by TMZ. "I prayed to God for a man with a job, a career, preferably in uniform. And God answered my prayers."
Following her Thanksgiving performance at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood, California, on November 24, Haddish was taken into custody on suspicion of a DUI. The comedian was cited by Beverly Hills police officers, handcuffed, and escorted into the back of their vehicle.
TMZ was the first to break the news, stating that law enforcement received a call about a person parked in the middle of Beverly Drive, apparently asleep while the car was still running.
Following her performance that evening and before her arrest, Haddish shared Instagram videos of herself dancing at Yachtley Crew's concert.

"Hey there, everyone! I'm currently in Inglewood and looking to attend the Habesha party," she said in a subsequent video shared on Thursday, November 23. "I want to embrace my East African roots. I've been hanging out with the white folks, but now I want to party with my East African friends. Unfortunately, they won't let me into the club. They're not letting the life of the party in."
This is not the first time Haddish has been arrested for a DUI. In January 2022, we confirmed that Atlanta officers responded to a call about someone sleeping behind the wheel. Haddish was booked for a DUI and improper stopping on a roadway, but was released several hours later after posting a $1,666 bond.
When Hadish made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon later that month, she made a similar joke as she did on Friday.

"I've been praying to God for a new and good man. And God sent me four... in uniform," she joked, referring to her breakup with Common. "But now I have a great lawyer and we're going to sort things out. I need to be more specific in my prayers to God!"
