Tiffany Haddish has been charged following her recent DUI arrest in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office confirmed on Wednesday that she is facing two misdemeanor charges: driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a .08% BAC. Her arraignment is scheduled for December 22, according to Entertainment Tonight. TMZ was the first to report the news.
We have contacted Haddish's team for a comment. In the previous month, Us confirmed that Haddish had been cited by Beverly Hills police officers. She was handcuffed and taken into the back of their vehicle. At that time, TMZ reported that law enforcement had received a call about a person who appeared to be asleep behind the wheel of a running car. Haddish was then arrested at the scene.
Prior to her arrest, Haddish had performed at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood for a special Thanksgiving standup set. The venue was hosting its 43rd annual free feast for residents. After the show, Haddish shared footage of herself dancing at Yachtley Crew’s concert, and later expressed her desire to attend the Habesha party in Inglewood in a November clip, saying she wanted to embrace her East African heritage.

Haddish’s recent DUI arrest was not her first. She was involved in a similar incident last year when she was arrested for DUI and improper stopping on a roadway after Atlanta police responded to a call of someone asleep at the wheel. Us confirmed in January 2022 that she was booked and released hours later after posting a $1,666 bond.
After her second arrest was reported, Haddish returned to the stage in Long Beach, California, where she avoided answering questions from the audience about her legal trouble.
"I prayed for a man with a job, a career, preferably in uniform," she shared with the audience. "And God answered my prayers."

A few days later, she finally spoke out about the incident.
"I'm going to seek help to learn how to balance and set boundaries," she told Entertainment Tonight, adding, "I promise this will never happen again." She also mentioned that she has been feeling optimistic since her arrest.
