Thrilling Showdown: Carlos Vinicius Secures Late Winner as Fulham Outshines Brentford in Action-Packed Friendly

Joao Palhinha, the transfer target, sustained a shoulder injury during Fulham's thrilling 3-2 triumph against Brentford in the Premier League Summer Series. Despite West Ham's bid of up to £45m for Palhinha being turned down this season, Fulham has placed a value of £80m on the midfielder.

Portugal's highly sought-after international, who plays as a central defender, had to leave the field due to a shoulder injury sustained in an innocuous collision with Yoane Wissa in the first half. Fulham manager Marco Silva acknowledged that the injury is concerning but emphasized that additional evaluations are required. Subsequently, Palhinha was observed wearing a sling on his arm.

Silva was also without striker Aleksandar Mitrovic as the striker watched from the sidelines amid a stand-off over a potential move to Al Hilal.

Harry Wilson wasted no time, netting an impressive curling shot from beyond the penalty area in the third minute. Wissa promptly equalized for his team with a tap-in at a corner kick. Nevertheless, Bobby De Cordova-Reid skillfully placed the ball into the bottom corner before halftime, and Carlos Vinicius secured Fulham's lead with a precise strike only two minutes into the second half.
