Chelsea are actively searching for a new midfielder and they are anticipated to officially express their interest in Moises Caicedo, the Brighton midfielder, in the near future. There is belief that Chelsea is receiving positive indications that Caicedo would be willing to join if a transfer arrangement can be reached between the two clubs, and it is unlikely that negotiating personal terms will pose any difficulties.
Chelsea showed interest in signing Caicedo in January, but the 21-year-old Ecuadorian player ultimately chose to sign a fresh contract with Brighton. He played a pivotal role in securing a historic sixth-place finish in the Premier League and European qualification for the club. In addition, there are reports suggesting that Chelsea is considering Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, who has also attracted attention from Liverpool and Arsenal during this summer transfer window, as per a source.
