Jax Taylor was back on Vanderpump Rules and he knew exactly what he was doing.
Bravo gave fans a sneak peek on Tuesday, March 19, where Jax, 44, was seen having dinner with Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, James Kennedy, and Brock Davies. In no time, Jax wasted no time in calling out Sandoval, 41.
Jax told Sandoval that he looked a lot better and asked what he had been up to. He mentioned seeing a picture of Sandoval on social media a few weeks ago and thought he looked much older than he actually is.
Jax then commented on Sandoval's appearance, noting that he seemed to be looking better, except for the white nail polish. He expressed a desire to see Sandoval get rid of it. Jax also mentioned that he had heard about what was going on in Sandoval's life.
Sandoval accused Jax of not being able to stop talking about his opinions. In response, the former Vanderpump Rules star defended his comments.
Jax explained, "I can't help but talk about it. It's been a topic of discussion worldwide. I acknowledge that what you did was wrong, but I also recognize my own mistakes." He pointed out, "My main issue with this whole situation was the way you handled it. It's important to sometimes admit when you've messed up and humbly accept it."
Jax was one of the original cast members of Vanderpump Rules when it first aired in 2013. Over the years, viewers witnessed his highs and lows, including a scandal involving infidelity while he was with his now-estranged wife Brittany Cartwright. In 2020, Jax and Brittany, who is 35 years old, announced their departure from the show.
After stepping away from the public eye, Jax and Brittany, who have a 2-year-old son named Cruz, teamed up with former Vanderpump OG Kristen Doute on a new show called The Valley. This spinoff series will be introduced to viewers with a transition scene on Vanderpump Rules showing an argument between Jax and Sandoval.
In Tuesday’s video, Jax asked Sandoval if he felt the need to "humble" himself after his affair with Rachel "Raquel" Leviss made headlines in March 2023. This situation led to the end of Sandoval's almost decade-long relationship with Ariana Madix.
Sandoval responded by saying, "Jax, I don’t need to humble myself to you, dude. You don’t deserve it, homie." Jax then added, "I’m just curious. I’m just asking. I can ask these questions. You don’t need to give me anything."
Sandoval criticized Jax for constantly talking badly about him. However, Jax stood by his choice to get involved in Sandoval's drama. "Everyone is saying negative things about you. Everyone," Jax noted. In a separate interview, Schwartz, 41, described the situation between his friends as "really terrible."
Earlier this month, Jax confirmed that he worked out his issues with Sandoval after they filmed the scene for season 11 of Vanderpump Rules.
"Everybody makes mistakes, especially on Vanderpump Rules. He cheated on Ariana, but it's been a year now. I think it's time to move on," he exclusively told We on Thursday, March 13. "She's happy and doing very well. She's moved on with a new boyfriend, Daniel Wai. Let's leave the past in the past and focus on other things like The Valley."
Vanderpump Rules airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET while The Valley premieres on Bravo Tuesday, March 19, at 9 p.m. ET. Episodes of the shows stream the next day on Peacock.
