Andy Cohen is equally excited as fans to witness the breakup of Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard on Summer House season 8. The couple ended their engagement while filming the forthcoming season in August, a mere three months prior to their planned wedding. Despite the fact that the moment was recorded, 55-year-old Andy has yet to view the footage. "I've been informed about it," he revealed exclusively to We on the first day of BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas on Friday, November 3.
Lindsay, aged 37, recently revealed in an exclusive interview with Us that Carl, aged 38, purposely orchestrated their breakup to be televised. She expressed her discomfort with the fact that Carl called up producers, arranged for cameras to be present, and manipulated her into having a conversation where he ended the relationship, all after filming for the season had already wrapped up. Lindsay found the immediate public awareness of their split to be unnerving.
However, Andy believes that there is more to the situation than what Lindsay has shared. When asked if he was surprised by Carl's actions, Andy told Us on Friday that he believes there is a side to the story that has yet to be told. He hinted that viewers will see the full story unfold as events play out on television.
Andy expressed his belief that Lindsay and Carl are currently "both on their healing journeys" despite the accusations she made. During a September episode of his Radio Andy SiriusXM show, The Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host refuted claims that the breakup in Summer House was "planned." He stated that he dislikes witnessing couples parting ways and mentioned that he had been informed by production about the developments between Lindsay and Carl as the season progressed. Viewers will witness the unfolding of these events on the show.

Carl and Lindsay briefly rekindled their romance in 2019, between filming Summer House seasons 3 and 4. However, their relationship quickly ended during that time. Speculation among fans grew that Carl and Lindsay were more than just friends again, and Carl finally confirmed their relationship status to Us in January 2022. Seven months later, while filming Summer House season 7, Carl proposed to Lindsay.
In August, it was revealed that Carl's decision to end their engagement blindsided Lindsay. However, a second source suggested that the breakup had been a long time coming for Carl.
Bravo stars from Summer House and beyond have voiced their opinions on the breakup of the former couple, as the unfolding drama continues. On an October episode of Scheana Shay’s “Scheananigans” podcast, Paige DeSorbo, a costar of Carl and Lindsay, stated, “In my opinion, I wouldn’t want to walk down the aisle to someone who, in the back of their mind, is like, ‘I don’t really want to be here.’ So, I think she doesn’t have to compare it to anything and, in the long run, he did both of them a favor.”
In a November episode of her podcast, Scheana, 38, expressed her admiration for Carl's decision to end the relationship before getting married. She empathized with both Lindsay and Carl, acknowledging their pain. Scheana couldn't imagine how Lindsay must be feeling considering they were just a few months away from their destination wedding when Carl called it off.
Kate Chastain, a former cast member of Below Deck, humorously revealed to Us at BravoCon on Friday that she would have opted to get married and deal with the consequences later, instead of canceling the wedding.
