In the realm of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the player community has showcased an array of extraordinary creations, highlighted by a remarkable unicycle and an aircraft inspired by the Mandalorian. The unicycle, ingeniously crafted by divlogue on Reddit, demonstrates both cleverness and energy efficiency through the utilization of a solitary wooden cart wheel and a fan mechanism for acceleration.
Players of Tears of the Kingdom can unleash their creativity through the flexible building mechanics, enabling them to craft personalized and extraordinary vehicles. Among them, the unicycle holds a special allure with its timeless design and absence of a guard rail. In a notable achievement, a Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has ingeniously merged specific components to bring forth a fully functional unicycle. Eager to showcase their creation, they promptly shared it online, following in the footsteps of another dedicated Tears of the Kingdom enthusiast who recently constructed a plane inspired by the Mandalorian.
The latest Zelda game has brought about a wide range of impressive community creations, thanks to its versatile building mechanics. These creations include everything from static structures to various vehicles. While some fans have focused on energy efficiency in their designs, others have chosen to create comical contraptions known as Tears of the Kingdom, such as excessively long planes, dance floors, and rain sensors powered by enemies.
One such creation is a newly developed unicycle design by Reddit user divlogue. This contraption falls somewhere between the energy-efficient designs and the comical creations. It features a clever design that uses only a few components and is relatively energy efficient. The unicycle moves on a single wooden cartwheel connected to a Zonai Steering Stick through a makeshift axle, which consists of a hook fused to a Savage Lynel Shield. Acceleration is provided by a single fan, and a Zonai Stabilizer ensures that the vehicle remains upright while in use.
Instead of using a Big or Small Zonai Wheel, divlogue decided to use a wooden cart wheel powered by a fan for the Tears of the Kingdom machine. This choice was made because it closely resembles a classic unicycle design and offers agility. A video demonstration shared on Reddit shows that the fan-propelled cart wheel is efficient, as it only requires a single Energy Cell to power it for approximately 15 seconds. If the player maximizes Link's battery reserves, they can continuously ride the unicycle for about four minutes without needing to use additional resources.
This agile unicycle is a prime example of Tears of the Kingdom's versatile building mechanics. Setting it apart from other community creations is its lack of a guard rail, a component that revolutionized the game's building meta when it was discovered in July. This discovery inspired a Tears of the Kingdom player to enhance the classic hoverbike design. As a result, fans have been eagerly experimenting with the guard rail to create more efficient flying contraptions, which has led to a decrease in new land vehicle designs being shared online in recent weeks. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be played on the Nintendo Switch.
