In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players join Link on a new quest that takes place shortly after the events of Breath of the Wild. An ancient enemy has awoken in the Kingdom of Hyrule, and Link must once again face it head-on. While the game maintains the vast open world and freedom of choice of its predecessor, Tears of the Kingdom places a greater emphasis on story, making the series of main quests even more engaging.
Tears of the Kingdom boasts 24 main story quests that will take players to every corner of the kingdom. This guide will provide a comprehensive list of each mission, including its location and the character who assigns it. Whether players want to get a sense of the game's size or track their progress, this guide has everything they need.
Tears of the Kingdom Main Quests - Prologue & Great Sky Island
Link and Zelda navigate the depths of the caverns beneath Hyrule Castle, stumbling upon a peculiar floating arm that appears to be holding a mummified creature in place. After inadvertently reviving the creature, Zelda is transported to the past and Link is left severely wounded.
Upon awakening, Link discovers that his own arm has been replaced with the mysterious arm that was previously holding the creature. The spirit of Rauru, the arm's former owner, appears and bestows upon Link new abilities, setting him on a mission to rescue Zelda.
