In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link has upgraded his humble dwelling in Hateno Village from Breath of the Wild. Now, he has the opportunity to build his dream house using pre-constructed rooms and personalize it with decorations and amenities.
Although Link's original home in Hateno Village is still accessible, it no longer offers the same advantages as it did in Breath of the Wild. Instead, his new home in Tears of the Kingdom is situated just outside Tarrey Town. This upgraded abode allows him to store and showcase weapons, care for and house horses, as well as sleep and cook food. To embark on the "Home on Arrange" quest and secure a Hylian homeowner status in Tears of the Kingdom, follow these steps.
How To Start The Quest “Home On Arrange”
The quest "Home On Arrange" can only be accessed once Link has purchased a house from Hudson Construction in Tarrey Town. In order to unlock Link's house in Tears of the Kingdom, players must go to Tarrey Town and talk to Hudson and Rhondson, who can be found in their shop at coordinates (3934, 1588, 0129).
Hudson and Rhondson's daughter, Mattison, will soon be leaving Tarrey Town to stay with the Gerudo, and her departure particularly saddens Hudson. Both of them manage the local construction company, which players may have noticed due to their persistent advertising across Hyrule.
Before purchasing a home from Rhondson, players are required to complete the side quest series starting with "Mattison’s Independence." This quest chain involves assisting a child with various tasks in Tarrey Town. After bidding her farewell as she moves to Gerudo Town for her studies in misandry and outdated ideals, players can then speak with Rhondson to proceed with purchasing a house.
Rhondson is offering players a special package deal for a house with two rooms at the cost of only 1500 Rupees. Although this is quite a significant amount, it may require some time to gather enough Rupees for this substantial purchase. To expedite the process, it is advised to undertake the side quest "Messages From an Ancient Era." Completing this quest will grant Link the opportunity to acquire a total of 1200 Rupees once all tasks have been fulfilled.
How To Complete The Quest “Home On Arrange”
After purchasing the house and two-room package from Rhondson, the player is instructed by her to rendezvous with a member of their staff on the hill located southeast of Tarrey Town. The meeting spot is situated just north of the Rasitakiwak Shrine, marking the starting point of the "Home on Arrange" quest.
The player can utilize fast travel to reach the shrine and will immediately notice a slim square appearing on the minimap above the expansive field. To proceed, the player should make their way towards the western side of the field where they will come across a wooden stand being managed by an individual named Grantéson. Grantéson warmly congratulates the player on their recent achievement of becoming a new homeowner and proceeds to provide a brief explanation regarding the process involved in constructing their long-awaited dream home.
Speaking to Grantéson initiates the Building Mode, prompting the player to position the purchased rooms within the designated rope boundaries according to their preferences. Utilizing the Ultrahand, the player must lift each room and accurately position them within the boundaries. Additionally, they have the option to connect two rooms by seamlessly merging them together. After successfully arranging the rooms, the player should engage in a conversation with Grantéson.
In the game, Grantéson asks Rhondson to inspect the construction task and give her approval, thus granting the player her blessing. Rhondson informs the player that there are several extra rooms and amenities for sale at Hudson Construction. As a reward, Rhondson provides the player with the Hudson Construction Fabric, which can be used to enhance the paraglider and complete the quest "Home On Arrange" in Tears of the Kingdom. In addition, the player can approach Grantéson at any time to preview and purchase more rooms for their dream home.
