How To Find The Center of the Three Secret Hot Springs

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the game offers a plethora of side quests that may not be as grand as the main story quests but provide Link with unique and focused experiences. Each quest has its own distinct objective, offering a variety of adventures that leave a lasting impression on players and offer generous rewards.

One notable example of this can be seen in "Treasure of the Secret Springs," where Link revisits Rito Village to assist Tulin once again. Link's Rito companion challenges him with a rather challenging riddle, which ultimately leads him to a highly uncommon treasure hidden in the expansive Hebra mountains. This guide will provide a detailed explanation of each step that Link must undertake to unravel the mystery, conquer the freezing range, and ultimately claim his well-deserved reward.

How to Begin Treasure of the Secret Springs in Tears of the Kingdom

Before Link can begin this side-quest, he must first complete Tulin's main story quest, "Tulin of Rito Village."

After completing Tulin's main story quest, Link can initiate the "Treasure of the Secret Springs" by returning to Rito Village and conversing with Tulin. The recently appointed Sage of Wind can be located towards the top of the village, in the second to last hut (-3612, 1821, 0218). If Link encounters Saki, it indicates that he has surpassed the desired location. Tulin will be engaged in a conversation with Teba, but it is crucial for Link to approach Tulin specifically, as speaking to Teba will trigger a separate side quest. During the conversation with Tulin, Link will be provided with all the necessary information regarding the mission, including the riddle he must solve, which is stated as follows:

The initial clue directs Link to the three concealed hot springs nestled within the Hebra mountains, signaling that he should start unraveling the puzzle's solution from there.

How To Find The Center of the Three Secret Hot Springs

To solve this puzzle, Link needs to locate the precise midpoint of the three hot springs. As depicted in the image above, the hot springs create a triangular shape on the map, and it is crucial for Link to reach the central point of this triangle.

Before venturing towards the central point, it is essential for Link to ensure that he possesses the necessary resources to generate fire and break through rock barriers. Since he will need to melt a substantial ice block, maintaining a consistent source of heat is imperative. One option is to utilize a Flame Emitter Zonai Device or attach a ruby to any weapon. In terms of demolishing barriers, it is recommended to rely on bomb flowers for optimal effectiveness.

Center Point Coordinates: -3958, 3277, 0240

When Link reaches the center point, he'll find a massive chunk of ice that must be melted to move on. Once that is complete, the North Biron Snowshelf Cave will be revealed.

How to Guide the Three Waters of the Secret Hot Springs

Proceed by entering the North Brion Snowshelf Cave and remove the rock barrier that blocks the path at the end of the initial tunnel. In case Link requires assistance, there are multiple Bomb Flowers scattered along the cave walls. After successfully clearing the barrier, Link can descend into a lower chamber.

The lower chamber is spacious, adorned with numerous fragile rock barriers lining the walls. Link can maintain buoyancy by harnessing a powerful and uninterrupted gust of wind emanating from the central area of the floor.

Break the Rock Barriers:

Link has the ability to break the rock barriers in two different ways. He can either use Bomb Flowers or land on the small space in front of the barriers and use a weapon to clear them. By placing markers on the map near each of the three hot springs, Link can align them with the correct barriers using the mini-map.

When Link successfully dismantles the designated barrier, the chamber will be filled with the rejuvenating water from the corresponding hot spring. Since there are three hot springs present, it implies that there are three barriers that need to be demolished. However, if Link mistakenly destroys the incorrect barrier, he will undoubtedly encounter at least one Ice-Wing Keese.

Collect the Vah Medoh Devine Helm:

Once the water reaches the optimal level, a short cutscene will unfold, unveiling a previously hidden chamber located just beyond the imposing Zonai statue. Venture into this newfound space to claim Link's well-deserved prize, the Vah Medoh Divine Helm. Engaging in conversation with Tulin subsequent to acquiring the helm will unveil an intensified bond between Link and the Sage of Wind.
