While Gems like Topaz are specifically employed for enhancing and fusing armor, incorporating them into a meal will produce unsatisfactory outcomes.

Topaz is a more scarce gem compared to Opal and Amber, although it is not frequently found in regular ore deposits. Like all other gems, Topaz possess elemental powers that can be unlocked through fusion. Therefore, players of the Tears of the Kingdom game might be pondering whether to hold onto their Topaz in their inventory or trade it with a merchant.

Topaz Location (Where to Farm)

Topaz can be obtained by mining Rare Ore Deposits or defeating Stone Talus (Rare). Additionally, players can find Topaz in certain treasure chests located in the Gerudo Region, such as the Gerudo Shelter. However, these chests are locked behind challenging puzzles. If players have a weapon infused with Topaz, they can visit Pelison in Tarrey Town to separate the gemstone from the weapon. This service, which costs 20 Rupees, allows players to obtain the valuable Topaz without sacrificing their weapon.

If TotK players are feeling self-assured, they have the opportunity to locate Stone Talus (Rare) in Hyrule. However, it is advisable to avoid The Depths as it consists mainly of monsters that cause gloom-damage to Link. This caution is particularly relevant for beginners.

Fortunately, there is a Rare Stone Talus located in Tabantha Canyon near Tabantha Bridge Stable (-2919, 0546, 0169). To find it, jump down into Tabantha Canyon from the Tabantha Great Bridge and head south towards coordinates -3486, 0170, -0105. In the middle of the clearing, you will come across a large boulder. Approach the boulder and the Stone Talus will emerge from the ground.

The only weakness of Stone Taluses is the Ore Deposit on their body, usually located on their head. However, since Rare Stone Taluses are a more powerful variation, their primary Ore Deposit/weakness is situated on their back.

To effectively combat the Stone Talus, utilize Bomb Flowers or arrows combined with Bomb Flowers:

Outmaneuver the Talus by circling around it and evading its attacks. Then, launch a bomb arrow towards its core. This action will temporarily incapacitate the Stone Talus, granting players an opportunity to scale its body.

Link has the option to position himself on the Ore Deposit and launch attacks from there. However, it is important to note that the Talus will eventually shake Link off, causing him damage.

If encountering difficulties, Link can employ the Ascend ability on the Stone Talus and land on the Ore Deposit by accessing the Talus' head.
