Location of Rito Village and How to Farm Arrows in Tears of the KingdomIn Tears of the Kingdom, arrows are crucial for defeating certain monsters. If you are running low, fret not. The "Fish for Fletching" side quest in Rito Village is an excellent opportunity to farm arrows and replenish your stock.
Where is Rito Village?
In order to complete the "Fish for Fletching" quest, players must gather resources that are conveniently located nearby, as long as they know where to find them. However, this quest can only be unlocked after completing the Wind Temple, similar to certain side quests in Tears of the Kingdom. It is advisable to hold onto any Glowcap Mushrooms, Chillfin Trout, and Glowing Cave Fish until then.
Players can easily locate Rito Village by heading towards coordinates -3596, 1801, 0209. However, upon arrival, they will find that the bridge leading to the village is broken. To cross over, Link has two options: he can either construct his own bridge using the Ultrahand and nearby trees or use the paraglider to glide in if he's at a high enough altitude. It's worth noting that "Fish for Fletching" won't be accessible until Link completes the "Tulin of Rito Village" main quest, so newcomers may have to wait before they can utilize this method to gather arrows.
Speak to Bedoli, a pink/red female Rito standing by a group of crates located at coordinates -3655, 1763, 0214 in Rito Village, after defeating Colgera and awakening Tulin as the Wind Sage. Listen to her request to begin the "Fish for Fletching" side quest.
Fish for Fletching Walkthrough
To successfully finish the task "Fish for Fletching," Bedoli must acquire three Glowing Cave Fish. These unique fish cannot be found in ordinary bodies of water, but can be discovered inside caves or wells. Their distinctive white/purple glow makes them easily identifiable and distinguishable from other fish.
Players have two options for checking out potential locations for "The White Bird's Guidance" Shrine Quest: the Snowfield Stable Well (-1630, 2587, 0234) or the West Lake Totori Cave (-4005, 2031, 0191). However, it is at the latter location where players will ultimately need to go to complete the quest.
Glide towards the mountainside west of Rito Village, where the snow has created a striking resemblance to a white bird. This natural wonder appears to be gazing directly at the entrance of the West Totori Cave.
Inside the cave, a stunning lake awaits with Glowing Cave Fish and Chillfin Trout swimming about. The walls are adorned with Glowcap Mushrooms, and if you venture deeper, you may even spot a Bubbulfrog. For those seeking all three items Bedoli requires, the nearby West Totori Cave is worth exploring. When fishing, it's important to avoid fusing Bomb Flowers to your arrows as this will result in Roasted Fish/Trout, which won't count as Glowing Cave Fish/Chillfin Trout. Instead, opt for regular arrows or take the plunge and swim after them.
Fish for Fletching Reward
Players who complete the side quest for Bedoli can exchange three Glowing Cave Fish for x10 Arrows. Afterwards, Bedoli will offer x10 arrows in exchange for Glowcap Mushrooms, Glowing Cave Fish, and Chillfin Trout, provided players have the requested materials. While West Totori Cave has all three materials, Chillfin Trout can also be found at Zora's Domain (3299, 0424, 0112) or Tama Pond (-2997, 1895, 0307). As Chillfin Trout are rare, players may want to save them for upgrading Frostbite Armor or cooking heat-resistant meals. On the other hand, Glowcap Mushrooms and Glowing Cave Fish are readily available in most caves and wells.
Players can easily acquire arrows in Tears of the Kingdom by breaking crates or barrels. Alternatively, they can purchase bundles of five at general stores. For a free and efficient option, players can trade materials with Bedoli, as long as they don't require them for armor upgrades. This method is particularly useful for those in urgent need of arrows. The game is available on Nintendo Switch.
