Link can speak with the goatherder, Chork, who is standing nearby after his conversation with Penn. Chork reveals that he had prepared a special goat feed using fresh Hylian Pine Cones, according to Princess Zelda's recipe. However, the goats have rejected the food and fled. Chork lost the recipe during a storm and has been trying to recreate it from memory. The player's task is to find both the missing recipe and the runaway goats, which are located in the same place.

Upon speaking with Chork, players can choose to check in with Penn, although it is not required. Penn will unsurprisingly suggest searching for both the goats and the recipe. Leaving the goat pen, players will immediately spot a trail of whole Hylian Pine Cones leading to the northeast of the stable and into the Seres Scablands, an area filled with towering mushroom-like trees.

The path to the herd of white goats can be found by following the trail of pine cones. The pine cones can be spotted easily by keeping an eye out for the sparkling ground while in the high grass. The player should continue to follow the trail until they eventually reach a group of goats hiding behind a large mushroom-like tree. These goats can be found at coordinates -2550, 0408, 0150 in the Seres Scablands.

Upon approaching the goats, the player will come across a conspicuous glass bottle. Interacting with it will trigger a cutscene where Chork, overjoyed at finding his lost goats, inspects the bottle and realizes that he has been incorrectly preparing the Princess's recipe. It turns out that the pine cones were supposed to be ground into a powder all along. Grateful for the player's assistance, Chork thanks them and promises to take better care of his goats going forward. Soon after, Penn will arrive and reward the player with 50 Rupees for successfully completing the quest. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can only be played on the Nintendo Switch.
