Disney's Lorcana has taken the trading card game community by storm, leaving many players unsure of how to start with a new game and ruleset. Starter Decks are the answer, providing prebuilt decks that offer a balanced and easily understandable playstyle. Ravensburger offers three different Starter Deck options, each offering a unique playstyle and a plethora of new cards. These decks are also a reliable way to acquire specific cards, unlike the random nature of booster packs.
While building a deck in Disney Lorcana is relatively straightforward, constructing a strong deck can be challenging. This is where the Starter Decks truly shine, serving as a guide to determine what strategies work and what do not. Players can further enhance and customize the Starter Decks as they collect more cards, or leverage their newfound knowledge to create an entirely new deck from scratch, incorporating some cards from the Starter Decks.
What is a Starter Deck?
A Disney Lorcana Starter Deck consists of a preset collection of 60 cards. Additionally, each Starter Deck includes a booster pack containing an additional 12 randomly selected cards of varying rarity. Currently, there are three Starter Decks available, each representing two of Disney Lorcana's six Ink types. Players can choose from the Amethyst and Amber, Emerald and Ruby, or Sapphire and Steel Starter Decks, each offering unique cards and playstyles for experimentation. Similar to the Amber and Amethyst Starter Deck, the cards displayed on the front of the box are guaranteed to be Foiled.
