A player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has found a quick and effective method for defeating the formidable Gleeok - a three-headed dragon that strikes fear into many gamers. They shared their strategy on social media, earning praise from fellow players for their courage and resourcefulness. Although the Gleeok is a relatively rare foe in the Zelda series, it has been a recurring antagonist since its debut in the original NES release in 1987. The Gleeok is known for its elemental breath attacks and the ability for its heads to fight independently until the entire creature is vanquished. In Tears of the Kingdom, Gleeoks appear throughout Hyrule as formidable adversaries, but with the right approach, they can be taken down with ease, as one player has shown.
A Twitter user with the handle yukino_san_14 shared a remarkable 16-second video showcasing their use of Link's Autobuild ability to take down a Flame Gleeok. The battle occurred on the Lake Hylia bridge, located south of Lookout Landing. Though the Flame Gleeok is one of the first enemies encountered in Tears of the Kingdom, it has a weakness to arrows that can be further exploited with Keese Eyes and multi-shot bows. Leveraging this weakness, yukino_san_14 managed to halt the Flame Gleeok in its tracks and trap it in a Gleeok cage created with Autobuild.
Once the Gleeok was safely ensconced, yukino_san_14 activated the Zonai Rockets attached to the cage, sending the cage and the hapless Flame Gleeok hurtling over a whirlpool in Lake Hylia. The cage then vanished, unceremoniously dumping the monster into the vortex. The video quickly went viral, garnering over 6.2 million views on Twitter in just two days. Fellow players praised yukino_san_14's efforts and commended them for ridding the game of one of its most vexing foes.
Players have a plethora of options to defeat even the strongest opponents in Tears of the Kingdom, including the Gleeok cage by yukino_san_14, which may not be as intricately designed as a biblically accurate angel. As players continue to explore the game, who knows what other creative solutions they will uncover. The game is currently available for Nintendo Switch.
