In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can find a plethora of side quests for Link to engage in during his downtime from being a hero. The expansive open world of Hyrule is brimming with countless mini-adventures just waiting to be discovered by Link. While some of these tasks may not offer much in terms of rewards, it is the incredibly gratifying stories behind them that make them worth pursuing. One such example is "The Six Dragons," a side quest found in Tears of the Kingdom that perfectly embodies this concept.
Located in the Thyphlo Ruins, a small region in northern Hyrule that showcases numerous Zonai structures in various states of disrepair, "The Six Dragons" is part of a series of small quests that Link will come across. This guide will walk players through every step of the quest, ultimately leading them to solve the puzzle that gives the quest its name.
How to Begin "The Six Dragons" in Tears of the Kingdom
To embark on this mission, Link must first engage in the "Investigate the Thyphlo Ruins" side quest. This can be initiated by approaching Kazul, who can be found near his tent (0371, 3097, 0174) situated in the southeastern corner of the square that encompasses the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower.

As the quest clearly calls for the power used by Sidon, the sage of water, Link will not be able to complete this side adventure until he has completed "Sidon of the Zora."

These statues, totaling six in number, can be found within the Thyphlo Ruins. Although not easily discernible from the map, the statues are located in the northwest section of the ruins. Positioned in a circular formation, the dragons are encircled by a small sludge-filled pit.

In order to solve the puzzle, Link must utilize Sidon's water shield, position himself in the center of the ring consisting of dragon heads, and execute a charged attack using any type of weapon. Ordinary attacks do not appear to activate the desired outcome. Link can confirm that he has executed the correct action when the familiar 'solution chime' is heard, similar to the sound that is heard in shrines.
In addition to hearing the chime, Link will witness a chamber emerging from the ground just outside the circle of heads. Inside the chest, he will discover five opals as a reward for completing "The Six Dragons." Link has the freedom to tackle the remaining quests in "Investigate the Thyphlo Ruins" in any order and at any time he deems suitable. It is important to note that, similar to "The Six Dragons," each of the other quests necessitates the power of a different Sage.
