Where is the East Akkala Stable?

"Strongest in the World" Walkthrough

In Tears of the Kingdom, the monsters have become significantly stronger, which would be evident to those who are familiar with Breath of the Wild. Lynels, a formidable adversary in BotW, now pale in comparison to the menacing Gleocks in TotK. However, encountering a Lynel in The Depths can still prove to be a daunting challenge.

In Tears of the Kingdom, players have the ability to enhance the attack and durability of their weapons by fusing certain materials. To complete the "Strongest in the World" side quest, players must fuse a monster part from a Lynel to a standard weapon. While it is easy to find the Lynel Horn, defeating the Lynel itself requires skill.

Where is the East Akkala Stable?

The "Strongest in the World" side quest can be found at the East Akkala Stable, located at coordinates 4237, 2738, 0125. Adjacent to the stable is the Jochi-iu Shrine, positioned at coordinates 4346, 2875, 0165. However, players who have not activated the shrine's terminal or warp pad will need to undertake some travel in order to reach it.

To access the stable, players have the option of launching from the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower (3493, 2019, 0188) and gliding in a northeastern direction. Alternatively, they can choose to travel on foot from the Sinatanika Shrine (3842, 2300, 0048), also heading northeast.

Speak to Chabi, an NPC located at the western side of East Akkala Stable, near the coordinates 4202, 2763, 0126, during the day. When she inquires about weapons, respond with a "yes."

Chabi will engage in a conversation with Link regarding the fusion of monster parts with weapons. She expresses her desire to witness "the strongest weapon in the world," which she believes to be a weapon infused with a Lynel Horn. Furthermore, she informs Link about the presence of a red-maned Lynel near the entrance to Tempest Gulch.

If players have previously defeated Lynels, they should already possess a Lynel Horn in their inventory. They can easily enhance a weapon in their inventory by fusing the Lynel Horn with it. Alternatively, if they do not have a Lynel Horn, they can visit the red-maned Lynel near Tempest Gulch, which is the closest one to East Akkala Stable. Any red-maned Lynel will suffice for this purpose.

Where to Find Lynel Horn?

Contrary to what the Adventure Log and Chabi claim, the Lyenl is not located at the entrance to Tempest Gulch. Instead, it can be found in the wooded area between Tempest Gulch and North Akkala Valley at coordinates 3694, 2931, 0032. Players have the option to reach this location swiftly by utilizing a horse or a Zonai vehicle, or they can choose to traverse the distance on foot.

Since East Akkala receives a substantial amount of rainfall, players might find themselves facing off against the Lynel amidst a fierce storm. To ensure their chances of success, it is advisable for players to equip themselves with Zonai weapons, like the formidable Mighty Zonai Spear, that have been enhanced with non-metallic materials. This recommendation extends to bows and shields as well, as it is wise to opt for wooden or Zonai counterparts when battling in wet weather.

How to Defeat Lynels

While the red-maned Lynel is considered the weakest among its kind, engaging in combat without adequate armor and weapons can result in a swift defeat. Utilizing the assistance of the Sages, such as Tulin, can greatly enhance Link's chances of success. Tulin's ability to consistently deliver critical hits not only inflicts significant damage but also has the potential to stun the Lynel.

To effectively defeat a Lynel, players can employ the strategy of triggering Flurry Rush. This can be achieved by skillfully dodging or parrying the Lynel's attack just before it lands. As a result, time will appear to slow down, allowing players to unleash a rapid succession of strikes on the Lynel by vigorously pressing the Y-button.

Alternatively, players can opt to target the Lynel's head with a bow. Since Lynels possess the ability to breathe fire, they may inadvertently create an updraft, presenting an opportunity for players to exploit. Moreover, those equipped with the Vow of Yunobo can capitalize on his Ability to generate a blazing trail of fire, using it as a weapon against the Lynel.

Be cautious of the Lynel's fiery attack, swiftly leap over the engulfed grass, and activate the paraglider to soar with the wind. Utilize this opportunity to equip a bow and aim for its head.

Remember, the Lynel is also armed with a bow and will make every attempt to strike Link down while he is airborne, necessitating quick reflexes.

Fusing A Lynel Horn

To switch to the Fuse Ability, press the L-button and aim for the Lynel Horn. Remember to equip a weapon that is not already fused with something else. If players don't have any items in their inventory, Lynels often drop decayed Royal Broadswords.
