It's that time of year for holiday romantic comedies, with many featuring beloved former residents of Tree Hill. Hilarie Burton Morgan brought together her former One Tree Hill costars Danneel Ackles, Robert Buckey, Antwon Tanner, Tyler Hilton, and Elizabeth Harnois for the 2018 film A Christmas Contract on Lifetime. The following year, the group reunited for another holiday movie, A Christmas Wish, on the same network.
"We had the opportunity to reunite the cast of One Tree Hill last year for The Christmas Contract, and this year we were able to bring in an even larger cast, including more of our friends," Burton Morgan stated exclusively to We in October 2019. "Colin Fickes, who played Jimmy Edwards on One Tree Hill, was a character that I believe was not fully utilized, but he ended up returning and making a significant impact on the show."
She also mentioned, "It's really about determining which of your friends are available and suitable for the role, and we are fortunate that when we reach out, people love this genre. It's enjoyable, so it's an effortless call to ask someone to join us."
