Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have their sights set on the future after calling it quits — but their next chapters might not look the same.
Vergara, aged 51, and Manganiello, aged 46, have both mutually agreed to end their marriage, according to an exclusive source. The insider reveals that neither of them were happy, and they had been living apart for several months prior to announcing their split that they both agreed upon.
The news of their separation became public on Monday, July 17. In a joint statement, they acknowledged that they have made the difficult decision to get a divorce. They expressed their deep love and care for one another and requested privacy as they navigate this new chapter in their lives.
Vergara, on the other hand, may be transitioning to the next chapter of her life rapidly. According to an insider, Sofia's friends have shown her immense support and it wouldn't be surprising if she is already prepared to start dating again.
While Manganiello has also received support from his close group of friends, the source reveals that he is not enthusiastic about entering a new relationship in the near future.
However, Manganiello took legal action and filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" on July 19. Court documents reveal that the actor states their date of separation as July 2 and also mentions a prenuptial agreement signed before their wedding in 2015. Concern among fans arose when Manganiello's birthday tribute to Vergara on July 10 was seen as lackluster. He posted a blurry photo on Instagram with the caption, "¡¡¡Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!" showing Vergara's arm around his shoulders.

While Vergara seemed to ignore the caption, she rang in her special day with an Instagram post of her own while on a vacation in Italy. In a breathtaking selfie, she raised a toast to her "well-being, aspirations, vitality," and "happiness."
Vergara's friends joined her on the Eurotrip, however, Manganiello was conspicuously missing. The former Modern Family star captured and shared her cherished moments from the vacation each day, often posting alluring swimsuit photos for her fans.
Upon arriving home, Vergara provided a sneak peek of the heartfelt presents she received after her birthday and breakup. On Thursday, July 20, she displayed vibrant floral arrangements gifted by Jeff Leatham and others on her Instagram Story.
Vergara and Manganiello have not publicly discussed their breakup in detail, but according to a reliable source, they decided to end their relationship because they were leading separate lives. The insider clarified that there was no infidelity involved and both of them simply realized that they rarely shared the same viewpoint.
