Teddi Mellencamp shared an update on her close friend Tamra Judge's wellbeing following her recent health scare and hospitalization. According to Mellencamp, Judge is doing significantly better and even managed to go to the gym today, indicating that she is feeling much improved. Mellencamp disclosed this information while exclusively speaking to We on October 20, where she was promoting her collaboration with Hyland's Naturals for their inaugural Women's Health line.
Former cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Mellencamp, shared that Judge, aged 56, initially fell ill during her time in Scotland while shooting The Traitors for Peacock in September. Upon returning from the show, her condition worsened, resulting in her eventual hospital visit.
"I'm incredibly thankful that she sought medical attention when she did," Mellencamp expressed. "So, if you're experiencing any discomfort or pain in your body, it's important to trust your instincts and seek medical advice."
On October 9, the Judge confirmed her health scare by sharing a selfie from her hospital bed. She revealed that she had been admitted for an "intestinal obstruction." As a result, she regretfully informed her fans that she would not be able to participate in the "Two Ts in a Pod" podcast with Mellencamp that week. Additionally, the Real Housewives of Orange County star firmly responded to trolls who speculated that her health problems were connected to her alleged use of Ozempic, a diabetes medication that several Bravo stars have used for weight loss.
"These comments about my use of Ozempic are appalling," Judge expressed via X. "I have been plagued by gastrointestinal issues for a significant period. In the last 12 years, I have undergone several surgeries."
Furthermore, she mentioned, "Do you recall when you all ridiculed me for not having a belly button? That was a result of an urgent, life-saving operation. A section of my intestines was being constricted. My grandmother passed away due to intestinal complications. It is important to clarify that I have never taken Ozempic and, personally, I would not utilize it for weight reduction."
Days later, Judge provided her followers with an update on her condition. She revealed that the issue had arisen four weeks earlier when she chose to push through her stomach discomfort during her time in the U.K. Subsequently, doctors determined that the cause of Judge's pain was related to her previous surgeries and the residual scar tissue. Fortunately, the medical professionals were able to address the problem without resorting to surgery, as Judge disclosed on October 11 via X.
Meanwhile, Mellencamp has been facing her own health challenges after confirming just last month that her melanoma had recurred.
"I am currently using an immunotherapy cream," she informed Us on Friday. "Due to unclear margins from my recent melanoma removal surgery, I had two choices: either begin this cream treatment or undergo a extensive skin graft on my shoulder which is quite substantial."
Mellencamp, who was first diagnosed with stage II melanoma in October 2022, decided to start with the cream in the hopes that it will resolve the issue within the next five weeks. "I am attempting to avoid another major surgery," she clarified, adding that she will reassess if the cream does not yield improvement.
In addition to striving for a cancer-free life, Mellencamp also has a strong focus on enhancing her overall well-being. This is where her partnership with Hyland’s Naturals for their Women’s Health line comes into play.
“As a mother and someone who has personally dealt with various health issues, I am now more conscious than ever about what I consume,” she explained. “Knowing that Hyland’s Naturals has a long-standing commitment of over a century to providing safe and effective wellness solutions, I was immediately on board when I discovered they have recently launched women’s wellness vitamins.”
Mellencamp expressed enthusiasm for the products, stating, "I believe the beauty of this health line is that it offers something for everyone in all stages of life. The Women's Multi + PMS Rescue is particularly beneficial because, let's face it, we all face challenges in that area."
The former reality star praised Hyland's Naturals new collection as a convenient solution for all our needs. She specifically mentioned the Prenatal Multi + Digestion & Morning Sickness product, expressing her desire for its availability during her own pregnancy.
